Daryl Dixon didn't understand what Rick Grimes was doing

Daryl Dixon didn't understand what Rick Grimes was doing. He was so protective over the lifes of his family and he didn't understand why Rick would risk the lives of everybody for some random girl -- she was beautiful, he had realised that the moment he saw her but that didn't mean she wasn't dangerous. He had these intense bursts of feelings when he was around her that he didn't understand but he assumed that it was hatred. Everywhere he went in the prison he saw her or heard people talking about her and he didn't like it so he had went down to his cell to have some privacy.

That was too good to be true.

"Stupid girl." He muttered to himself. "Maybe, I shouldn't have shot that arrow."

What Daryl wasn't aware of was that Katy had also went down to her cell to get some early rest, she happened to be walking past their closely set cells when she heard his words and stopped instantly. She knew that he was talking about her and was filled with anger and shock.

Daryl was confused because despite the words that had left his life, shooting that arrow hadn't really been a choice, it had happened like a gut reaction in the moment he saw the woman lying on the floor with a walker on top of her.

"What the fuck?" Katy asked loudly, never shy in her views and opinions. "You wish you hadn't the arrow?"

"I can't get away from you in this damn prison."

"Why did you just say that?" She continued to question him relentlessly.

"Shutup!"

"No!" She yelled back at him. "Why would you say that?"

"You best get away from me, girl."

"No!"

She took a step closer to him. The two were demostrating perfectly how formidable a pair they were. Anger and stubborness was clear in their voices and the tension was as thick as metal in the air. They really knew how to piss each other off.

"I just shot the arrow." He admitted but it didn't clear that much up. "I didn't think about it."

"Why do you have such a problem with me?" She asked with an urgency as his facial expressions turned more threatening.

"Stop questioning me." He demanded.

"Answer me."

"I don't trust you!" He shouted violently.

"Why?" She sighed. "I'm not trying to hurt anybody. I think you're scared of something and you don't see that they love you."

"Don't try and examine me." He was shocked by her analysis that was fairly accurate, it freaked him out when people began to read him.

"You're a pig." She shrugged, curious about the things he must have been through in his life. "What happened to make you so bitter?"

The slight intrusion into his childhood made Daryl explode -- it was a touchy subject for him and he absolutely hated anybody mentioning it. He stormed towards the woman, his movements wide.

"Don't you dare!" He seethed. "You're the one trying to make everybody love you 'cause your families dead and it's your fault!"

Katy flinched backwards as if she had been hit in the chest because that's what it felt like to her -- the death of her parents was the guilt that played on her mind every second and it was the weakest part of her. Daryl had sensed that. It internally stung and she couldn't help but lift her hand up and move it across his face in retalliation.

Daryl Dixon had instincts too and when somebody hit him, he couldn't help but recoil. He pushed the woman against the wall and shook his head at her.

"I'll hurt you if you try to hurt me." He warned before stepping back because despite the bad blood bubbling between them, he didn't want to hurt her.

"Go to hell, Dixon!"
