Miley’s p.o.v

Nothing had changed, I was still stuck in this damn bed with nothing to do. The pain didn’t fade, it was only grew stronger. I was stuck in Jason’s old room, where all the memories had resurfaced making things harder for me to cope with.

I needed to see him. I needed to see his face, I needed to look into his eyes. I wanted to feel his heartbeat, I wanted to be in his arms. I couldn’t stand to sit still any longer. I needed to find him, I don’t care what the cost is. I am done fighting, and I am hiding. I need him.

“Hey Miley” My father said walking into the room. I had been pacing back in forth trying to talk some sense into myself.

“Can I trust you?” I asked facing him. I was running wild, I was frantic and I didn’t know what to do.

“Of course” He said walking over to me. “What is wrong?” He asked.

“I need to find him” I said looking deep into his eyes.

“It’s not safe” He sighed.

“I know, but I don’t care. I need to see him, I don’t care what the cost is.” I pleaded with him.

“What do you want from me?” He asked with a sigh.

“I need you to help me get out of here without anyone finding out. If they know that I want to leave, they will stop me.” I said pulling at my hair.

“I can’t deal with this pain anymore, Jason is the only person who can help me. He is the reason I even have this pain. I know that I fucked up, I left him and now he wants nothing to do with me. But I have to try. I have to try to get him back. I need him.” I pleaded, and begged. I had a hard time containing everything that was flowing through my body.

“Okay, okay.” He said throwing his hands in the air. “I can’t tell you where he is, but I can get you out of here.” He said.

“The guys are having a meeting in the basement in about 20 minutes, I have to be there. I can give you my car, you will have to hurry.” He said looking at his watch.

“Here are the keys. It’s the car at the end of the driveway. I just fixed it up today, so I know it is safe. Drive as fast as you can for as long as you can, then switch cars and dump that one somewhere.” He said telling me things that I already knew.

“Here is some money” He said taking a thick envelope of cash out of his bag. He gave it to me along with the keys. He then handed me a small piece of paper with a number on it.

“I want you to call me when you are safe.” He said putting my things on my bed.

“Okay, dad.” I nodded and smiled lightly. “Thank you” I said walking towards him I gave him a hug. He hugged me tightly before kissing my forehead.

“I’m sorry I can’t tell you where he is.” He sighed. “You are smart and I know you will find him.” He nodded.

“I know I can find him” I assured. I quickly packed my things and got dressed. My emotions and thoughts were running wild but I was pushing forward.

“I have to go. Please, promise me that you will call me and let me know that you are safe?” He pleaded.

“I promise.” I assured.

“Make sure the cost is clear. Once you start driving, don’t stop.” He spoke softly before walking out the door.

I quickly walked into the hallway and listened as they all walked into the basement shutting the door behind them. I waited a few moments before grabbing my stuff from my room. I shut and locked my door before walking down the stairs. I had to be sneaky, I couldn’t let them know I was leaving.

I made sure the coast was clear before walking out the front door. I ran to the car and got in. I started it up and drove down the driveway slowly to make sure they didn’t hear me. Once I was on the open road I speed up.

I ignored the constant pain that jolted through my body. I couldn’t think about it, if I thought about it would only become worse. I drove and drove until I was three states away. By now they would have noticed I was gone.

I stopped and switched cars before stopping at a local internet café. I needed to find out where Jason was before I continued.

Jason was smart, he only left a small trial of crumbs behind in case there was an emergency. My father knew where he was, he may be the only person, but I knew I could find him because of that. After hitting a few walls, I found his burner had been picked up off a tower near California. I would be able to track it down more through that.

Due to the fact that my father gave me the same cell phone number that he called Jason with made everything even more easily. After a few minutes of searching, I finally found an address. I deleted everything off the computer and erased the hard drive before leaving.

I got into my new car and drove. Driving, and running where something I was used too. I was smart, and I knew what I was doing. I knew how to stay hidden from the world around me, I also knew how to track someone down. Jason might not be happy to see me, and I hated to think about that. I didn’t know what I was going to say once I was face-to-face with him, but I knew that I needed to see him.

We would never be able to have a normal relationship, I understood that. I also knew that I couldn’t live without him in my life. Not just because of the pain, but because I loved him. He was my everything, without him I was nothing. I just hope I am not too late.

(I have a few things planned, but be ware the next chapter is really short. I will probably post it tomorrow. xoxo)
