Chapter 27

I hear my phone go off again and I groan pulling it out and answering pressing it to my ear. "Hello?" I answer. "Hey Sky, have you heard from Ashton?" "No why?" "No one knows where he is." 

"'Cause God it just feels so...

It just feels so good."

The radio keeps playing and I try to turn it down but it ends up getting louder and I drop the phone. "Shit," I say bending down to get it. 

"Second chances they don't ever matter, people never change.

Once a whore you're nothing more, I'm sorry, that'll never change."

The stereo blares and I see the blinding light of another car. Before I can react I feel the impact of the blunt force slamming into me. Then the air bag, I try to pick up the phone but I feel like I can barely move. 

"Skyler... Sky, can you hear me! Skyler what the fuck just happened! Can you hear me? Answer me goddamn it!" I hear Luke yelling through the speaker, the faint taste of blood in my mouth.

"And about forgiveness, we're both supposed to have exchanged." 

I see someone running towards me but it's blurry, someone pry the door open but everything is spinning. "Are you ok?" I think the man says who now has his cell phone out.  If my head didn't feel like it was split open I would have probably said something among the lines of: 'Do I look ok dumb ass?'. He reaches over me and turns the stereo off. "Can I get an ambulance a-." Then everything goes black.   

Natalie's POV

I'm sorting through the last of my stuff before I suddenly hear my phone blasting a crappy Apple ringtone.  I must've left it off of silent.  I look over to see that it's a number I don't recognize, despite the fact it's definitely an LA number.  

"Hello?" I say, as I grab the empty plastic bags.  "Hello is this Natalie Lane?" a female voices asks on the other end.  I freeze.  "Yes.  Why am I getting called?" I ask suspiciously.  "You're Skyler Andrews' friend aren't you?  You were put as one of the emergency contacts on her phone." the lady says.  "Yes, Skyler is my best friend and all, but what does me being her emergency contact have anything to do with me right now?" I ask.

"Skyler's gotten in a car accident.  She's just arrived at the hospital." I feel my blood run cold.  "What?" I ask choking.  "She's....she's.....what's happened-" "Ms. Lane she's in stable condition and I just need you to remain calm-" "What hospital is she at?" I cut her off rudely.

"She's at California Hospital Medical Center." the lady says and  I'm putting on my combat boots as I say "I'm on my way."  I run out of my room, shutting my phone off and yell "Sylvana where are the keys!?" "Jeez Nat, try to not yell Sky's had enough of that already today she was telling me earlier-" "Skyler's gotten in a car accident.  I need to go to the hospital- NOW." I say as I find the keys on the counter, as I run out the door.

"Should I come with you?" Vana yells and I say "If you want."  Sylvana pops her head out the door and says "I'll stay here in case they call the house.  But keep me updated yeah?" "Course!" I yell as I get down the stairs and get into the car.  Although I've barely driven in LA, I had no choice but to at this point.
