Chapter 26

Natalie's POV

After I had made up with Skyler, Luke came down, looking slightly red.  "Hey Luke did you catch the sun?" I ask hoping it was a sunburn and not the fact he was pissed finding a nearly naked Calum with his girlfriend.  Hopefully Luke doesn't kill either of them later.

"Uh just a bit." he shrugged.  Skyler didn't make eye contact and Luke doesn't either before looking at me and said "Well Nat we should get back to the studio." "Oh yeah....see you later Sky?" "Yeah yeah." she said and me and Luke walked back to the studio, silence between the two of us.

"Luke you know Skyler would never do that to you." I said glancing at him.  Luke's biting his lip and just before we get to the studio and he says "I know.  But I guess I just got this feeling in my gut....I couldn't stand seeing Skyler with someone else in that way I guess."  I swallow and say "Yeah, I feel you."

We step back into the studio and Vic and Ashton look back up.  "Alright are we ready to go?" "Wait for what?" I ask confused.  Vic smiles and says "Well we wanted you to sing.  You're gonna be recorded for a 5sos song, and I figured we could warm up maybe with a PTV song....record that too just to see how everythings balanced.  Whaddya say?"  

"Holy shit." I say immediately before blushing and saying "Oh yeah, of course, I-....wait I'd be singing with you?" "Yeah for the cover.  I wanna be able to show what talent I've met!" Vic smiles and I look at Luke and Ashton and I bite my lip to stop myself from squealing but instead I just have a big grin on my face.  

"Alright you guys take it away then!" Ashton says and we step into the studio as I sit down, in front of one of the mics.  It's weird being on the other side of the glass, but I grab the headphones putting them over my ears and Vic grabs the guitar, strumming it a couple times looking up to see Ashton do a couple adjustments before Vic turns to me and says "What song do you wanna do?" 

I flush a little and say "Well I'd sound typical and all....." "No no it's ok.  If you're gonna suggest Hold On Till May I was gonna tell you we could do that one anyways." he said with a grin.  I take a deep breath reminding myself the although this was Vic FRIGEN Fuentes that he was human.  Despite the fact he was really cute and nice and was ridiculously talented.  

Ashton finally gave the thumbs up before Vic began to strum, and he nodded at me, to start singing.  

She sits up high, surrounded by the sun

One million branches and she loves every one

"Mom and dad, did you search for me?

I've been up here so long I'm going crazy!"

Vic gives me a reassuring nod as we both begin to sing, him harmonizing with me.

And as the sun went down we ended up on the ground

I heard the train shake the windows

You screamed over the sound

And as we own this night

This love was out of control

3-2-1 where did it go?

However we skip a bit, to sing the bridge, as Vic sings his part, and I sing the female part.
