Third Person POV

The cost, the cost of becoming a hero everybody knows that saying of you give me a hero I'll write you a tragedy. But what they don't realise is that some hero's have nothing left because of this

Peter Parker has been left with nothing because he chose to be a hero, then people have the nerve to go on TV and say that they don't understand what it means to lose someone

Peter hates that because he knows better then anyone what it's like to lose everyone and everything and he gets it, it's hard to accept that but eventually you accept that you can't do anything about it and move on

The cost of becoming a hero is the highest price anyone could have to pay, from losing his mum, dad, uncle, aunt and girlfriend sit takes its toll

He finds it hard to let himself be happy because eventually everything goes to shit, every time and it's killing him, not to have someone to talk to, to hold him tell him it's gonna be okay

Sometimes he wonders if it's worth it, like if he disappeared would the world care or would they move on over night find a new hero

How many people would it affect if he was gone, tony & Ned. It's sad that his list is only 2 people long that it would only affect 2 people in the long term if he just left and never returned

Love, is hard. To be completely vulnerable with someone and have that level of trust is something he can't find himself capable of, never full trusting anyone on alert 24/7

Being this way breaks a person, tears them down piece by piece as they fall to the floor, not sure if they can get back up. He is on constant fight or flight mode, so almost never sleeps

That's what the world doesn't see, the vulnerable little kid that has had to grow up and fight, then they talk crap about how he doesn't care when he sits at home crying about the 1 guy he couldn't get to in time

The avengers, earths mightiest heroes that don't patrol because it's below their pay grade so automatically it's not important. Then here's Peter slaving away then they criticise him for not being fast enough when it's because last night he took 3 bullets for a young girl

Slowly, piece by piece the world is destroying the unbreakable Peter, leaving him as a shell of the person he used to be and finally he has enough for once in his life he pushes back he talks on live television about how superheroes are human too how they aren't invincible

Peter gave up everything for a world that just keeps pushing him down, that just keeps abusing his trust breaking him into a million shattered pieces laying on the ground

Peter lays staring up into the night sky on top of a building wondering what the point of being a hero is as it seems the world has forgotten

The Cost, is what breaks a hero. What kills them more than the battles they fight but they can't do anything about because it's the sacrifice they make when they become a hero

The price is one nobody Is ever ready to pay
