"You'll have to be quiet and take it slow on him, he's only just woke up, and the drugs are wearing off as well so he might not be with it." The petite nurse that was looking after Liam had just informed us of his surgery, telling us that it went correct but he shouldn't be making and sharp movements.

"Thank you nurse, can we go in now." Harry asked with aggravation laced in his tone, clearly wanting to see his best mate.

"Yes sure but remember what I said."

"We will thank you again."

I had to practically drag Harry off of the sofa this morning, apparently his chest is a really comfortable bed and when I woke up this morning I realised I wasn't in my bed but Harry's. I also panicked when he wasn't in bed next to me but my heart swelled when I walked out of the bedroom and found him peacefully asleep on the sofa. When I asked why he was sleeping there he just said he didn't know if I wanted him to be in bed with me, of course that wasn't the case I wanted nothing more than for Harry to be comforting me. But I was thankful that Harry understood his boundaries with me and was more than willing to put his back out by sleeping there all night.

"Who would've thought that nurses could be so annoying?" Harry groaned grabbing my hand but before he could reached it I pulled away and smacked his arm.

"That 'annoying' nurse just helped save your best friends life, so appreciate her concern."

He mumbled something under his breath before snatching my hand again and walking down the corridor, I couldn't help but laugh at his childishness as we walked into Liam's room. My smile immediately was wiped off when I saw Liam's current state, he was lying in the bed with his eyes closed again sickeningly pale with bandages wrapped around his stomach and a blood patch from where the wound was. I couldn't help but think of what might have happened if I got there any later, I would've lost my childhood friend and Harry would've lost a brother.

My eyes welled up as I scanned him from head to toe, he looked in too much pain and I just wanted him to be fit in well not lying on this hospital bed.

I quickly wiped the tears away when Liam's eyes snapped open after the door closed. He had a scared look on his face but when he slowly turned his head around his face slowly lit up when he realised it wasn't anyone bad.

"Hi guys." He rasped out and took a drink of water that was on the bedside table.

"Oh Li I'm so sorry this happened to you." I broke my hand away from Harrys and walked over to the bed and hugged Liam but careful of not to put pressure onto his stomach.

"Its fine Ava really, no one is to blame for this. Just wrong place at the wrong time. And Harry don't beat yourself up about this because it wasn't your fault either"

"Sorry for all of this bud, it shouldn't have been you."

"And it shouldn't have been you either, imagine what Ava would've had to go through if she found you lying there and not me."

"I still would have kicked their arses if it was him." I spoke up earning a smile off Harry and a chuckle off Liam.

"If I didn't know any better I would think that you were part of the gang, I mean from what I heard when I was in the bar you sounded like you completely kicked arse."

"She did kick arse, my girl did me proud." I blushed at Harry's compliment while Liam was sat in the background making fake gagging noises.

"I thought you were to see me not make me vomit with your cheesiness."

"Sorry Li we apologise, is your mum coming up?"

"She already came up this morning when I first woke up and she was heartbroken that I was lying here, she's been passed herself ever since she got the call saying I was in hospital due to being stabbed."
