Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 23

"Don't distract me!" he warns applying eye shadow to my cheeks "I think this goes first!" Ashton tells Luke passing him the foundation. Luke pumps it on his finger.  "You're applying that with..." I ask him even more nervous then before.

"My finger" he shows the camera before dabbing it on my cheek "oh my god" I laugh as he squirts five more pumps into his hands "We just want to make sure we get the whole face." Ashton explains as Luke rubs it all over my face. "Phase one complete!" Luke smiles tilting my face towards the camera. Then Ashton tells me to turn towards him and I comply he finds the blush and only applies it to the apples of my cheeks.  

"Do I look like a rag doll?" I ask them "An attractive rag doll!" Luke assures me making me face him again. He opens my eyeshadow kit and is torn between red and orange in the end he decides on both. "Some people say less is more, I say more is more." he explains.  "My turn!" Ashton sings grabbing the eyeliner. 

"I'm a big fan of the winged look so I'm gonna go for that." I feel the liner press against the middle of my eye and I try to hold in my laughter. "It seriously feels like you're giving me a black eye." I tell him he giggles and keeps going and then does the same to the other. 

"At least it's even." I joke. Then Luke applies my mascara which for some reason ends up in my eyebrows because 'he saw his mum do it once.' 

"Luke those aren't even my eyebrows" I laugh grabbing his arms and pulling the brush away from me.  "Don't fight it!" Ashton tells me. Ash then applies bronzer all over my face and tells me it gives me colour. "Finishing touch is the lipstick." Luke explains holding up a tube of lip gloss. "Do this" he tells me puckering his lips, I do it and he seems to put the lip gloss everywhere but my lips. 

"It really makes the eyes pop!" Ashton says.  "TA DA!" Luke smiles making me face the camera, I try to smile but my face feels sticky. "And now for the reveal." Ashton says beginning to drum on his legs.  "1…2…3!" Luke counts uncovering the mirror. I scream "Oh my god!  Look what you did!" I say covering my face, my whole face looked glossy with patches of red and orange with a unibrow.   

"I think you look hot." Ashton tells me and I glare at him. "What do you guys think, do I look hot?" I ask.  "Luke should I wear this look on our next date?" "No I think it's too sexy, the guys would be all over you." he lies I laugh.  "Do you wanna kiss?" I ask him he shakes his head but I lean in.

"No no….." he grins leaning away.  "I feel awkward" Ashton says. "Anyway thanks for watching, if you enjoyed watching Luke and Ashton violate my face please give this video a thumbs up." I say holding up my two thumbs then I look at Luke and Ash who follow suite.

"I will see you all next time!  Goodbye!" I end covering the camera. "We should go scare Cal." Luke suggest "I'll keek it!" Ashton adds.    

Natalie's POV

I snuggled against Cal and then said "I still can't believe Ashton went for that handshake." "Hm?" Cal says obviously not paying attention.  I giggled and said "Ashton shook Sylvana's hand.  I swear I'm gonna kill him for it later." 

Cal stroked back a bit of my hair and said "We were already without a drummer once, let's not have that same thing again!"  I laughed and put my head on Cal's chest whispering "God I love it here."

"Do you?  Do you really?" Calum asks in disbelief.  "Well, why wouldn't I love it here?" I asked pulling away to look at Calum.  "Well you're with four rowdy boys who are in a band and who usually do really crazy shit." Calum points out.  I shrug and say "Well see this is an amazing house, and is a lot more fun than any sorority in the history of American unis."  Calum then says "And there's not a single thing bothering you?"  I laugh and say "What's supposed to be bothering me Cal?  The humidity?"
