Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 20

"Whatever I'm going to make food!" Luke follows me into the house "So, I was thinking that we could go out just the two of us tonight?"  Luke questions leaning against the fridge.  "Yeah, sounds good." I grin biting my lip.  "Where would we go?" "It's a surprise." "Of course." I groan grabbing peppers from the fridge. "Don't pretend you don't love it," he teases "I love you." I clarify.

"You look beautiful." Luke smiles meeting me and the van, I blush since Luke hadn't told me where we were going I had decided on a casual light blue dress with my black platform shoes, they helped me look taller next to Luke. I had styled my hair by pulling it all to the right with a couple pins to hold it in place. 

"Shut up." I say fondly kissing him quickly, as he holds the door open. "Why thank you Hemmings." I say in my poshest accent getting into the car. We drive from what doesn't seem like very long talking about mostly Ash and Sylvana who we have nicknamed Sashton or Sash.   

Natalie's POV

"Suke's gone out!" Michael announced as he plopped down beside me.  "Hey careful I'm fragile!" I pout as I continue to watch the Vampire Diaries on Netflix.  "Says the rugby player." Michael jokes as he pokes me.  "Well I am ticklish too so be careful...." I warn and suddenly Michael states "I'm hungry."

"What time is it?" Ashton asks stretching a little.  "Shhh shhh I need to hear this." I say motioning for them to be quiet, as an intense scene comes up.  "Oh my god....." I say as I continue to watch.  Suddenly it pauses.  "OH MY GOD ASHTON HOW COULD YOU PAUSE AT A MOMENT LIKE THIS!?" I say fangirling as I clutch a pillow to my chest.

"Well it is around 5:30.....so maybe we should.....well have something?" Ashton says as if it's a recommendation.  I sigh and say "If anyone says Chinese takeaway I swear...." "Well I do want some noodles from Panda Express....." Michael says shuffling a little in his seat.  "What's going on now?" Calum suddenly walks in and we all look up and Michael says "Nat says we shouldn't get food!"

"I never said that!" I say defensively.  "Well if we don't get Chinese than we don't get anything at all!" Michael says crossing his arms.  I roll my eyes.  "That's it, if I have one more chicken ball, I think I might puke.  And besides I hate sweet and sour sauce!"  The boys gasp.  

"You....you hate sweet and sour sauce?" Michael whispers and I sigh and say "I always have!" "That's it you're moving out!" Michael says as I laugh and get off the couch.  "Alright then all those in favour of Chinese...." I say as I lean against the kitchen counter.  Michael raises his hand but no one else does.  

I smirk a little and say "Well why don't we get pizza?" "PIZZA!!!!!!" Michael yells and I then say "I was actually gonna say we can make it ourselves....." The boys look at each other. "It's not that difficult." I say as I pull up a recipe on my phone.  "We could actually do that." Calum says shrugging.  

"We can definitely try." I state as I put my phone on the counter and turn the other boys.  "Alright then, let's get cracking!" I say as I laid out some of the ingredients and Ashton keeps the episode paused as we begin to make our pizza dough.

"No, Calum where are you putting the flour?" I ask and suddenly I get a handful of flour thrown to my face.  "CALUM!" I squeal as I wipe my face to see him grinning mischieviously.  I then say "Oh Hood you're on!" I grab some flour and get him back and suddenly he laughs as he picks me up, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and begins to spin.  "Why are we spinning?" I laugh as we stop before I turn around to him, the world swirling around me.

"Well now we're not." he states smirking.  I raise an eyebrow and I can see the egg carton out of the corner of my eye.  I grab one and I quickly crack it over Calum's head and it gets on him.  "You cracked on egg on me?" he asks and I yelp as I get an egg in my hair as well.  "I hope you can't get salmonella in hair!" I state pouting a little.
