Beth's POV

Amanda still holds my hand as she walks through the house filled with unfamiliar faces. she keeps bumping us into people carelessly as she drags me along with her. It's still strange being with her almost as if we picked up where things left off. Well, before all of the bad experiences started to happen. I'm not even sure if I can forgive her fully at this moment. My trust with everyone hasn't been on the right track and it's definitely going to take more Than a couple hours for me to make up my mind about this.

The smoke above us and surrounding other bodies makes me cough. The smell is disgusting and I watch as people laugh and pass around the illegal drug. We finally reach to a large area where people gather in a circle on the floor. Is this all people do at parties?

An empty beer bottle spins in the center of the people and they all have wide smiles on their faces. It lands on a dark haired girl who wears more makeup than she does clothing.

"The person to your right, Becky." The girl across from her says.

The dark haired girl, Becky I'm assuming, looks over to her right and gives the guy a smile, he returns one to her and they both stand to their feet and make their way over to a door that is nearly ten feet from the rest of the people.

"You have to swallow!" Someone yells to her as the door slams shut behind them.

Amanda and I both turn away from the crowd.

"Let's play." She says.

My head snaps in her direction and I give her a scowled look.

"What! No way I'm not-"

"Calm down, Bethany I'm just messing with you. You never wanted to go to parties with me back in Cali.."

"Im not a fan of them."

"The ones back in Cali aren't as sexual as these. We play spin the bottle and stuff but it's not where we have to go suck a guys dick in the bathroom."

Amanda was always the one with a foul mouth. She would say swearword after swearword and she wouldn't even care. Me on the other hand, did the opposite. She used To tell me all of the time about how she was dying to hook up with this guy but then changed her mind when she heard a rumor going around saying he had an std.

"Still never wanted to go to one." I say back to her. "It's just a place for people to get wasted and sleep with people they've known for five minutes."

"You're so innocent," she says with a small smile. "I don't mean it as a bad thing but it's just good that you haven't changed much. Do you know what I mean?"

I nod even though I don't really agree with her. I've changed so much, my type of change wasn't as dramatic as others are but I can feel that I have changed. I don't feel like I have seven months ago. My body doesn't seem like I own it anymore. As much as I hate to admit it, my body will always be like an electric force with..him. It's not my body anymore, it's like it's his and he will always have the ability to control what it does no matter what.

"Here," she hands me a red cup that is filled halfway. I haven't even realized that we were in the kitchen. I watched my feet as we were walking instead of at the large crowd. I deny the cup she hold in her hand. "Come on, let loose. Have a moment to forget about him." She pushes the cup further towards me.

I can already smell the fruity, but still strong scent in the cup as she practically holds it right under my nose. I hesitate at first but then quickly grab the cup from her hands bringing it to my lips gulping it all down at one.

"Oh my god," she laughs. "That's four shots of cherry vodka in a cup."

She tells me and my eyes go wide. Shots. Vodka. This isn't something that I'd normally do but to be real, nothing is normal in my life.
