It's been two days since Moved here. I still haven't taken a look around this place yet. I should take a stroll around the town and buy some new clothes or something. I make my way downstairs to see my mom sitting on the family room sofa.

"Mother?" I call out to her.

"Yes sweetie?"

"Can I take a stroll around town for a little while? I've been here two days and don't really know where anything is." I explain to her.

"Of course, honey. Just take my keys on the counter, you can take my car."

"Actually, I wanted to take my bike." She turns her head to look at me and her dark brown eyes are partly covered by her brown hair.

I told my parents I didn't want a car for when I turned sixteen. I knew that they'd probably get me a really expensive, show off kind of car and I didn't want that. So instead I asked to a bike that I've been wanted for a while now. So basically, my bike has been my transportation for a year and a half already.

My mother let out a loud sigh and broke the silence.

"Please be careful, Beth. We don't know how these people are around here." I smile is swept across my face.

"I will, thank you mother." I turn on my heels and start to make my way out of the door.

"Oh and Bethany, get rid of those shoes please." I look down at my feet and I realize that I have my converse on again. They're comfortable and I really like them, but my parents obviously don't.

I nod in response and walk out the door to head towards the garage on my bike.

After about a half hour strolling around I come across a ice cream shop with a bright yellow sign that reads "Tony's ice cream"

I make my way into the shop and get ready to order.

"Hello can I help you?" A tall boy with chocolate brown eyes confronts me.

"H-hi. Um yeah, can I have the chocolate fudge brownie, double scooped on a sugar cone please?" I smile at him and he return it.

"Coming right up. You can go take a seat and I'll bring it to you." He tells me.

I nod and my my way to lime green chair that is set with a matching one across from it and a baby pink colored round table in the center.

A couple minutes later the boy comes over with two ice cream comes in his hands.

"Here ya go!" He hands me the ice cream cone and smile at him and thank him. He takes the seat across from me and starts eating his soft serve vanilla cone.

"You're new here aren't you,?" He speaks up.

"Uh yeah, how'd you know that?" I ask him out of curiosity.

"Every teenager comes here. An I've never seen you around here." He laughs a little.

"Oh," is all I could say. I wish I wasn't so shy.

"I'm Liam by the way." He smiles.

"Hello, it's very nice to meet you. I'm Bethany; I just moved here from California." I tell him.

"Wow! That's a big change. Why here though?" I had a feeling this would be brought up.

"My parents have gotten a better job opportunity." I tell him. I'm not telling him what they work as.

"Oh, nice. But hey, I gotta get back to work.-" he stands up and smiles before turning around. He looks back and speaks up again. "Are you going to ridgeway? He asks.
