"Bethany let's go!!" My father calls down to me one last time.

We're moving to Florida. My dad got a promotion and is getting a new job and of course my parents didn't decide to ask how I felt about this.

I walk towards my bedroom door to head down the staircase but I look back to get one last glance at my bedroom. The large, light purple walls and the mahogany hardwood floor are all that's left.

With my parents being in business, we've always been wealthy. But I never felt the need to flaunt off anything that wasn't important to me. When I meet new people I try to act as casual as any other seventeen year old would. But at home, I have to act proper or else I'm a disgrace to our family. I live by my parents' rules and let me tell you, tyre strict and it's hard to make friends because they always judge them upon appearance.

I shut my yes and shake my head slightly to get the thought out of my head. I snap back to reality and shut the door behind me and head down the hall to the stairs.

When I reach the bottom I see my mother and my father all ready to leave.

"Bethany, we have to rush to the airport now because you're taking your time. Now let's go" my mom narrows her eyes at me and speaks harshly.

If I ever speak back to my parents they would be serious consequences.

"And you could've at least worn descent shoes." My father adds.

I look down at my feet and look at my old black and white converse.

"I'm sorry mother and I'm sorry father. It won't happen again."

They don't answer, we just head out of the door and make our way to the airport leaving California would probably be the hardest thing that I'd ever have to do.

After a long flight we finally make it to Miami floria. Sitting in the back of my fathers black Cadillac I see the moving trucks following us to our new home.

About twenty minutes later, we arrive at gates. Black gates that extend to a driveway that'll most likely lead to my new home.

"Jeffery Edwards." My father speaks into the small intercoms located at the gates.

"Welcome, sir." A rusky voice says thorough the intercom. The gates open and we drive up the long driveway.

I can see from the distance a large cream colored house with a fountain in the center of the house. It's beautiful. But, my parents always seem to buy homes and other things that are just not needed. I mean, I am an only child so really there's no need for a house with ten bedrooms and baths for only three people.

I ignore taking a look around the whole entire house and make my way up the set of staircases into a room that I'd like to be mine.

After about looking through three rooms I see a door all the way at the end of the house. I open the door and immediately want it. It's large and is already painted light purple. I look to the right and notice a door that's painted black.

"Like it?"

I jump from my stance and turn around to see my dad. I can't help but giggle that I was scared.

"HA. Sorry sweetie, didn't mean to scare you." He says to me.

"It's okay father. But to answer your question, I love it." I answer him while looking down smiling and playing with the bottoms of my while dress.

"I knew you would. That's why it's painted, just like your old room."

I smile and thank him and he walks towards the black door.

"This leads to another room." He tells me.

"What room?" I ask in confusion.

He opens the door and I see a desk. Next to it a large bookcase filled with books about law and literature.

"So you can study more about law." My father breaks the silence.

"Thank you." I say and fake a smile towards him and he smiles back and walks out of my room.

I don't want to be a lawyer. I don't want to do anything that has to do with buisness. I want to be an artist, I want to show the world what I can do and what I have the talent for. My parents will never approve of my hobby. Which is exactly why they'd never know.
