Yoongi's POV
After what had happened last night I figured out it wouldn't be a good idea to meet with Jungkook when he would wake up. So at about 8:00 I got outside and started strolling around the town. It wasn't long before my phone started ringing. I took it out of my bag and looked at the screen surprised. It was too early for phone calls.
Taehyung
I quickly pressed the accept button and put my earphones on.
"Hey!" I said as I put my phone inside my jacket's pocket. "Everything all right?"
"Hey Yoongs! I didn't wake you up I'm sure!" I heard Taehyung chuckling from the other end of the line.
"How are you so sure?" I asked him.
"If it's not Sunday, you always wake up early!" He replied and even though I thought of denying it, he was right.
"Why did you call?" I asked and he went straight to the point.
"I wanted to know some things about my renter." Tae explained.
"Well, didn't you talk with Jungkook?" I asked.
"Yeah, and he was so excited that the only things I could extract from him and his behavior, were that he is a man and that Jungkook is interested in him!" He said and I laughed.
"Isn't that enough?"
"No!" Tae replied and I started giggling even more. Afterwards I managed to conform myself.
"Why didn't you ask Jungkook for more information? Since you're closer with him?" I added before he was able to disagree.
"Yoongi, you know that's not true..."he said slowly.
"But you're more close to his age-"
"Yoongi I'm two years older than him and two years younger than you. The difference is the same!" He interrupted me. I didn't say anything. "Are you alright?" He asked me after a few seconds and I left out a sigh.
"I don't know... I feel like I need to talk to someone!" I could see him taking a expression of bitterness. Tae was at Daegu.
"Did you fight again?" He asked me but I didn't reply. Jungkook and I hadn't fought. It was just that a weird aura existed around the apartment. "Pff Yoongi, why didn't you move to my apartment when I left? That's why I told you guys to search for a renter-"
"I know!" I interrupted him. "I can't leave the apartment, he wouldn't be able to pay the whole rent all by himself first of all, and secondly I don't have the money to pay you-"
"Yoongi, that's not it! You know that we would work out the rent... and Jungkook could do some tutoring like you did..." Taehyung said. I had walked inside a big park and I was walking around looking for somewhere to sit
"You called to learn about your renter!" I stopped him again. "He is a really sweet boy, a '95 liner just like you, as tall as I and he studies Law with a scholarship. Is that enough?" I asked.
"How are you doing?" He asked me completely ignoring the description I had given him.
"What do you mean?" I asked and sat on a bench.
"Did you find a job?" He asked me and rushed to add. "In an office!"
"No..." I admitted and bit my lip bitterly. Tae got ready to say something "Can I come over?" I finally asked him.
"It's two hours-"
"I know, I don't mind. Can I?" I asked again.
"Of course... of course." He repeated. "Call me when you get off the train. We can go have a coffee and talk!" He said and I felt him smiling from the other end.
"Thank you..." I muttered. "I'll be there at about 10:30, okay?"
"Yes, bon voyage!" He said and I giggled hanging up the phone.
I walked till the station and I was lucky so I I didn't have to wait long for the train to arrive. I half slept during my two hour trip to Daegu. But when we approached our destination I felt completely awake. I hadn't visited Daegu in so long... more than ten years.
And I had a quite nostalgic feeling when I got out of the train that momentarily I forgot about calling Taehyung. I got out of the train station and felt like exploring something my mind had long forgotten.
Eventually I did call Taehyung and he told me he would meet me outside his house. I got there in five minutes or so.
"Yoongi!" I heard and before I could turn around I felt someone falling on me. "Long time no see!" He said when he released me.
"Daegu didn't change at all!" I said and smiled still looking around the town. Taehyung returned the smile and we started walking.
"How long has it been since the last time you've been here?" He asked me.
"Thirteen years..." I replied. "That's a long time!" I muttered. "But still I don't feel lost!" I rushed to add.
We sat inside a coffee shop and for a moment I frowned remembering that I had to return to Seoul and work at Allegria at 4:00. We gave our order to a really kind waiter and while we waited Tae turned to look at me.
"So what's wrong?" He asked me. I hesitated a bit, I didn't know either. "Yoongi, didn't you come all the way till here to talk?"
"I did Tae... you see, something happened yesterday that I can't really explain!" I said and I continued to tell him everything that happened the past days, even about my interest to Jimin and the bad and devastating aura that existed between me and Jungkook. Taehyung listened carefully without interrupting me and he encouraged me to go on when I stopped unsure of what to say. In the end he sighed and seemed to be thinking of everything I had said.
"Yoongi this relationship is no good for you..." he said, i nodded. "You can't live with Jungkook if you haven't gotten over it or even if you have-"
"I have!" I interrupted him. "I'm over him!"
Taehyung smiled bitterly.
"Really?" He asked and I could read in his eyes what he wanted to say.
Then why don't you move out? Everything you say about how you have to share the rent and how you've made a promise to his parents are all excuses!
"I swear Tae! I don't have any hard feelings!" I rushed to say when I understood what he was thinking.
He didn't reply. He didn't have anything to say...
