Yoongi's POV

I had been late for my shift that morning and when I arrived at the coffee shop I was sure that my coworker would be extremely salty. After Jungkook had left the apartment I just sat there trying to realize why he was so mad that I was ignoring him. Wasn't I giving him the peace and quiet he constantly asked for? These thoughts made me lose track of time and as a result I arrived at work one hour late.

I ran inside Allegria (that's the name of the shop) and quickly got behind the bench as I kept bowing and apologizing to whoever my coworker was, because I didn't have a chance to see him or her.

"Hey, relax Yoongi!" I heard a girl saying and I raised my head to see Vicky smiling at me. She is a young girl around my age with short brown hair and bangs. Vicky has an artistic vibe that I'm sure if I was straight I'd find attractive and she's really kind to me. "I somehow covered it up and the boss isn't mad. Neither am I!" She rushed to add.

"Phew". I said as I wiped off some sweat from my forehead. "I don't deserve you, Vicky, if Kibum was here he would be furious!" I gulped in fear remembering our third coworker.

Vicky chuckled and I couldn't hold back a smile. She's such an angel.

"Did you oversleep?" She asked me as she gave a costumer their hot cocoa. "Thank you, have a good day!" She added and bowed her head.

"You could say that" I replied and started taking care of the orders. "Actually I had a fight with my roommate yesterday and I zoned out while thinking about it this morning." I explained and the word 'roommate' brought laughter to my lips.

"Pff, if you two don't get along you should move out..." she said and smiled. "We always have a free bed just so you know!" She winked and I remembered her saying that she lives in a commune. I giggled in response. "Why are you laughing Yoongi?" She asked blushing.

-I'm gay.

I was ready to say it, so freaking close but I just shook my head from side to side.

"Nothing. You're really kind-"

-I'm glad to have a friend like you. Say it and you have her in the friendzone forever!

But I didn't say it. Deep inside I knew that it would be better to be clear about my preferences but a little voice that fed my ego kept me from doing so. The fact that someone liked me satisfied me... in a weird, sick way perhaps, but it made me stand on my feet a little bit better.

"A caramel macchiato!" I heard someone saying and turned my head to look at him. My eyes widened in surprise.

"Vicky, I'll take the gentleman!" I said and rushed to the bench. I leaned over a bit and looked at the man standing across me in the eyes. "Hey Jimin, how did you find where I was working?" I asked with a smirk.

"I wasn't stalking you, Hyung, if that's what you think!" He replied and returned the smirk. "I think I gave an order?" He reminded me and I snapped out of it.

"Yeah you're right. You came in the worst time for chitchat, we have many costumers this hour, would you like to come back, or sit... here... and wait?" I asked as I made his coffee.

"Don't worry, I just came here to pick up my coffee, I might come back later if you want to... although you have nice company!" Jimin said glancing at Vicky.

"Here's your coffee!" I said gravelly and glared at him for a moment. Jimin paid for the coffee and chuckled.

"I'll pay you a visit later Hyung!" He smiled and turned around to leave.

"Make it here before 4!" I said loudly enough for him to hear. He simply signed me a goodbye with his free hand and left.

That unexpected visit put me off my stride and Vicky had to poke me with her elbow to put me back on track.

Three hours later the shop was empty and leaned against the bench to rest my feet a bit.

"Was that your roommate?" Vicky asked me and I closed my eyes shaking my head negatively.

"He's a friend..." I replied not telling her the exact truth. Vicky frowned a bit suspiciously but didn't continue.

"Would you like to go out with me sometime?" She asked me and I cursed inside.

"Vix" I said, and she smiled at the nickname. Her smile made me even weaker. "I'm not on your side of the road!" I admitted and bit my bottom lip fearing for her reply.

"Really?" She asked me and she looked heartbroken. "That's unfortunate..." she mumbled and turned her back to me.

"Vicky, I'm sorry... I'm not-" I tried to say but she interrupted me.

"Don't apologize Yoongi! I am dumb, I should have guessed that!"

"Hey, don't say that!" I said and placed my hand on her shoulder. She shivered at my touch so I quickly removed it.

"Hey! Is this a better hour?" A voice suddenly distracted us and I saw Jimin entering the store.

I looked at Vicky, asking for her permission to take a break.

"Go ahead!" she uttered and gave me a slightly bitter smile.

"Did I interrupt you-?" Jimin began to ask but I pushed him outside gently and brought my finger to my lips signing him to stop. "Was that a bad moment?" He asked whispering and I nodded negatively.

"It was the best moment!" I told him after we were far enough from the store's entrance. I leaned against the wall and crossed my hands across my chest.

"Why? You're not interested?" Jimin asked me stood next to me. I lowered my eyes to look at him.

"You're kidding me right?" I asked and he chuckled.

"Just wanted to make sure!" He murmured and I rolled my eyes.
