Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 17

Calum blushes a little and he says "Anyways, we figured that you and Skyler could stay over at our place for a bit, before you two get settled in." "But I don't know if I wanna be on campus or not." I say biting my lip.  "Well you have a couple months to decide that." Calum said squeezing my hand.  

Why does he do that?  Why does he keep holding my hand like that?  But I feel myself squeezing back, as I look and see we're landing in LAX.  THE LAX.  I smile and suddenly touch down, as the plane speeds and slows down.

"We're here!" I say, trying to desperately not to squeal.  Calum smiles at me and says "I hope you don't scream when we get off the plane." "I'll try!" I said giggling a little and I can see us getting taxied in.  "But we made it." I said leaning back in my chair, smiling a little to myself.  

"Well you really did." Calum said and I look at him, and I remember those eyes.  Those big brown eyes, the kind that show the nicest person in the world, the puppy sort of eyes.  I swallow a little and nod.  It hurts thinking that I hated him.  Knowing I did at one point.  The anger that I had showed him.  God, he'll never want me back.  

"So what's our plan when we get off?" I ask and suddenly the plane stops and the seatbelt sign is turned off, as everyone is desperate to get off this plane and out into fresh air.  Needless to say, I'm ready to get off too.

"Well we figured we should get you settled in our place before anything crazy goes on." Calum says as we get the luggage we stowed in the overhead compartments out.  I see Ashton and Michael get up and stretch.  "Did you finish the song?" I ask raising my eyebrow.  They nodded and replied "Yeah actually we did!"  

Do I get to see it?" I joked and they handed it over, and Calum looked over my shoulder.  "Good Girls are Bad Girls that Haven't Been Caught....little wordy don't you think?" I ask looking up at them. 

"Well we were thinking of changing it to just Good Girls.  But just read the lyrics." Ashton said shrugging.  I look to see that it's slightly messy, but I am able to make out most of the writing.

"She said to me, forget what you thought, cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught." I stated and looked back up at them, and then shrugged saying "Well I've read the rest of it....I think it'll sound pretty good." 

The boys grinned before we finally got off the plane, and I looked around LAX, which seemed pretty normal considering it was THE airport of California, and the one where all the celebrities fly in.  I looked at Skyler and she squealed a little and said "We're HERE!" I smiled as she clinged onto me and sung "I hopped off a plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan....."

"Oh my god please don't sing Party in the USA!" Michael groaned as we began to make our way out, of course having to deal with the 5sos fans.  We pushed through a handful, and I felt myself getting squished and I looked at the boys.  "Alrighty sorry everyone, but we have our two VERY jetlagged best friends with us right now, so can we just squeeze by?  Thank you!!" Ashton yelled, and the crowd immediately parted.

We nearly run out, before we head into a car, and I see that Ashton gets into the drivers side.  "Oh my god Ash you're gonna drive?!" Skyler asks and Ashton turns around and says "Have a little faith!"  We then begin on our drive, without any accidents, and we pull up in front of a house.

"Well ladies....this is our haven!  And where you two might be living along with four crazy guys." Calum said and I look up and smile.  It's a gorgeous place, it really is, and the boys lead us up a path, and open up a door, well in a way a gate.  We enter in and see that we're on the patio area, with a beautiful pool right beside us.  

"Perfect for swimming....or skinny dipping....." Michael said and I then yell "Continuing on!"  Calum opens the door, and we step inside the house to see the pad.  There's the kitchen, which I love, and the living room with a huge couch.  "See ladies it's wonderful to sleep on!" Ashton says jumping and crashing onto the couch.  

"Well the girls do have their own room.....you two don't mind sharing a room with each other do you?" Luke said and both me and Skyler shake our heads and I reply "We literally slept over at each others place all the time.  And don't ever forget the sleep away camps!"  Skyler giggles and replies "Oh the times we had rooming together...."

"Well I think we should get you two sorted out.  Up to the rooms!" Luke said as he grabs Skyler's huge bags and takes them up the stairs.  I look at Skyler and she shrugs and smiles as she heads up the stairs.  I look at my bags, and grip onto them, and just as I'm about to head up the stairs, I feel a hand grab my bag out of my hand.  

Calum looks up at me and says "Do you need help?" "I'm fine." I say dryly, as I look at him and said "Listen, I might as well use all that exercise from sports help me out right now."  I brush past Calum, as I get the bags up the stairs.  

The second floor is just as beautiful as the first, and I realize that most of the house is made of glass, and it lets in tons of sunlight.  It lights up the entire place, as we walk down the hall and I see that there's a room, with a desk, and bunkbeds.  I look in and then see that Skyler's on the top bunk and she sees me coming in before yelling "I call top!!" 

I roll my eyes at her childishness and say "Alright have fun falling!" "Hey!" she says whacking me with a pillow.  I put my bags down and say "So this is where I'm gonna stay?" "Well I think that most of the time that Luke and Skyler are gonna be sleeping in Luke's bed most of the time, so just expect that this is your room." Michael states leaning against the door.

I see that Skyler blushes and I see that Luke says "WELL I think we should quickly finish off the tour and then let the girls unpack and unwind....are you guys okay if we order chinese takeaway?" 

Me and Skyler nod before he says "Alright, continuing on!"

HI GUYS!

I usually don't put author's notes down here, but this time I am because I wanted to tell all you wonderful people that I won't be updating for 2 weeks *gasp*

Why exactly?

I'm going to be without my laptop for two weeks but as soon as I get my hands on it, I swear I will update!
