Anastasia Tanner and Scarlett Tanner were never referred to as the Tanner sister but as:
Anastasia: The quiet, shy, tom-boy that wasn't afraid of anything having to do with trouble, as long as she had fun. In her family she was invisible they didn't see her. She hated them for this.
Scarlett: The loud, social butterfly, that wasn't afraid to express her feelings. She was considered the princess of her family but in reality she hated everything to do with them.
They were two entirely different people.
