CHAPTER 39

AFTER our small wedding according to him, We decided to talk for awhile about those issues that we need to refine. He said he will take care of it, but I insist, now that we are married I want to show him that we are two in dealing with one's problem.

Now, the first issue that I will try to resolve is my problem with my in-laws. I already talked to  Rikki about it, at first he disinclined the idea of talking with his father, But I insisted, I want a good terms with my in-laws. Its not an easy process but I know time will come the King will accept me and my relationship with Rikki.

"I know you don't like me and I'm not going to please or beg you to like me Sir, ang hiling ko lang sana ay, sana wag mong itatakwil si Rikki as your son. I know the two of you right now is not in good terms sana wag mong alisin kay Rikki ang pagiging ama mo sa kanya."

We are now in his big library, Nakaupo siya sa kanyang swivel chair, naka-500 pose, pero hindi siya nakatingin sa akin, sa side niya ay ang isang kopita ng red wine. Halatang madami siyang iniisip. Actually tutol  siya sa nangyaring wedding  namin ni Rikki kamakaraan , he even ordered the media to published a news about Rikki being disown if he will not break up with me, but Rikki already chose me. There are many bad critics about our relationship, some of them are racist, about a norwegian heir married an asian nobody  but then again they are not in our situation, Love can break all the boundaries that every person made, its a powerful magic that can heal deep wounds.

"What's with you? why did my son chose you rather than following my order? He will have a great future waiting for him if he marry Veronika."

He asked me as if I know the answer, maybe I know somehow.

"What do you mean by great future sir? An aboundant wealth but controlled life, powerful but no love, if that's what great future you're referring then there is no such thing as great at all. Walang great dito sa mundo kundi ang Dios, pero masisisi mo ba si Rikki kong pinili niya na manatili sa akin? Yes I'm nobody but with him I'm everything."

"Don't speak as if you know everything about life, love can't feed you both when you're hungry, Rikki was born with a golden spoon in his mouth, he was rise to be a leader not a commoner who work in his entire life to have money. Tell me how can you encourage him to work if he doesn't even know how to live like what an ordinary peope did"

"I don't know, If I find out the answer I'll come back here. Gusto ko lang naman po makipag-ayos, hindi ko kayo mapipilit ngayon na tanggapin ang sino man sa amin Sir, pero we considered you aspart of our family even if you don't feel the same way."

Hindi na siya umimiik, magpapaalam na sana ako, pero nahinto yun ng may kumatok sa napakalakong pinto.

After ng three knocks ay bumukas ang pinto, sumilay naman ang ngiti sa labi ko. Smiling ear to ear ang anak ko. Hawak siya ng isang servant.

"Your highness, madam sorry for the disturbance"
Tumayo na ako at lumapit sa kanya at kinuha si Arkie. Maya maya ay tinuro niya ang hari, ang lolo niya.

Napadako naman ang tingin ko sa kanyang lolo na nakaupo sa upuan matayog.

Matigas ang kanyang tingin, kaya't ibinaba ko ang kamay ng aking anak hindi ata nagustuhan ng kanyang lolo ang pagturo nito.

"Bad anak"
tumitig naman ang kanyang mga mata sa akin at unti unting kumurba ang labi niya senyales na nagbabadya na siya umiyak.

Humarap ako sa Hari at yumuko.
"Sige ho, mauna na kami"

Kasunod ang servant o maid lumabas na kami sa silid, umiyak naman si Arkie, napakaiyakin ng batang to! pabiro ko naman siyang pinalo sa pwet.

"Bakit ka naiyak ha? diba cute ka na baby? dapat ang mga cute boys di na iyak, pinagalitan ka lang eh"
