Apart: For Olivia

*Olivia's POV*

Four months before, my boyfriend Shawn and I had broke up.

Everything just kept getting too complicated with both of us being singers. We almost never saw or had time for each other since we were always touring or doing interviews. We tried to make it work, but after dating for two years, we decided to at least take a break. Both of us thought it would be for the better and in some ways, it was.

After we broke up, I got an idea for a song and I slowly started writing it. Just a couple weeks after it was released, it was already a worldwide hit. Everyone loved it so much that it got nominated for song of the year at the Brit Awards.

And, almost at the same time, Shawn also released a song which - you guessed it - was also nominated for song of the year.

So, after four months of being apart, I was finally going to see Shawn again.

Since I was a pretty popular singer and my mom was the actress Sofia Vergara, there were quite a lot of paparazzi as me, my mom, and my brother walked into where the show was held.

"You look so pretty," my mom complimented as we walked to our seats.

"Thank you," I smiled.

When we found our seats, we all sat down together. My mom was on my right and my brother was on my left. Next to my brother there were three seats still empty. I guessed that whoever was supposed to sit there wasn't going to show up.

However, I was wrong because in a few minutes, Shawn came up with his manager behind him and sat right next to my brother. "Hey," he said with a small smile as he sat down.

"Hey," I hesitantly said back, wondering whose idea it was to seat us next to each other. I wasn't mad, it was just a little bit awkward. Especially since I hadn't seen or spoke to him in months.

The whole award show went by pretty much normally, until they told that it was time to announce who won song of the year. I made a small glance at Shawn and saw that he was looking at me as well. I quickly looked away as they started naming all the people and songs nominated.

"And the winner is..." the woman who was on stage began, opening the envelope, "Olivia Y/l/n!" (your last name)

I gasped, pretty shocked. A big smile came onto my face as I stood up along with my family members and a few other people around me. I hugged my mom and then turned to my brother.

As I hugged my brother, I noticed that Shawn had stood up and was clapping. We made eye contact and he smiled at me. I smiled back.

Without thinking about it, I let go of my brother and stepped around him to give Shawn a hug as well. He seemed surprised at first, but soon hugged back.

"Congratulations," he spoke into my ear. I was about to thank him when I heard him whisper quietly, "I missed this so much."

It got my attention and I couldn't not think about what it meant. I pulled away from him and he looked slightly embarrassed like he hadn't meant to say it out loud. I knew I should get going up to the stage, but I just stood there for a little longer.

The crowd of fans were yelling things, pleading that we should get back together as a couple. I wanted to go back to him, or at least just talk, but I had to go up to the stage and give my thank you speech.

It wasn't until after the award show was all over and I had done a few interviews that Shawn and I finally met up. When we finally found a place where no one else was, a good place to talk, I had no idea what I wanted to say.

After a few seconds of silence, Shawn spoke up, "That's amazing that your song won. You really deserve it."

"Thanks," I smiled, playing with the fabric of my dress, "Um...can I ask you something?"

"Anything," he replied.

"Did you mean what you said about missing me?" I was worried he wouldn't answer, but he did.

"Honestly, yes," Shawn told, "I miss you more than anything Olivia. It's been too long since we were together and I don't care what I have to do, I don't want us to be apart that long ever again. I want to make this work. I still love you, you know."

I nodded, staring at the floor.

Shawn lifted my chin up with his fingers, "What about you?"

I thought about it for only a second before finally meeting his eyes. "I love you too." Shawn smiled and I stepped forwards, letting him kiss me.

I honestly just realized that my last imagine was my 100th imagine, wow that is really crazy.
