Poolside Love // 1K!!!!

*Y/n's POV*

"Y/nnnnnn!" Shawn whined from the couch next to me which he was sprawled out on. We were at his house and had been for most of the day.

"What?" I mimicked him, looking up from my phone.

He looked up and over at me, "I'm bored."

"Well, what do you want to do?" I asked him, lightly laughing at how he was acting.

"I don't know," Shawn continued to whine like a three year old, "It's soooo hot outside."

Getting an idea, I put my phone down on the table beside me, "How about we go swimming? You do have a pool in your backyard you know."

"That's a great idea. I'm in!" he jumped off the couch and pulled me to my feet in front of him, "Do you have your swimsuit?" I nodded and Shawn smirked, "Good."

"Oh, shut up!" I playfully smacked his arm.

"What?" he chuckled, "It's not my fault you look really good in it."

I put my have on his shoulder, "Thank you, but we should probably get going before it gets dark out."

Shawn agreed and we bout went upstairs to change. I was done first so I waited at the bottom of the stairs for Shawn who came out in swim trunks and no shirt.

He ran down the stairs to me, almost tripping once, and smiled as he held my hand. "Let's get this pool day started!" Shawn excitedly lead me through the back door and out into the sunny back yard.

After throwing our towels to the side, we stood next to each other on the concrete edge of the pool.

"You jump in first," I told him, feeling the cold water with my foot.

"What? No, you go first," he backed up from the edge, "It's really cold."

"Oh, come on, Shawn. Don't be a chicken," I laughed, but stopped as Shawn pushed me into the pool.

The water was pretty cold, especially since it was such a shock to get pushed in. I am going to get him back, I thought to myself as I surfaced.

Shawn was bent over with laughter ad I pulled myself up to sit on the side of the pool. Putting my hands over my face, I pretended to be upset which Shawn took notice of immediately.

"Baby girl, what's wrong?" he worriedly came to my side, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to - "

I cut him off and grabbed his arm, pulling him into the water. Cracking up just as much as he had, I smiled down at Shawn who stood treading water in front of me.

"I don't know how I didn't see that coming," he moved to where he could easily stand and ran his hands through his wet hair, "Come here darling."

I jumped into his outstretched arms and he held me tight against his chest, moving through the water.

"This is so nice," I spoke, "It feels so good with how hot it is."

"Yeah, and it's even better with you here," Shawn grinned.

"You spoil me, you know that?" I said looking at him, "Come on, let's have some fun." I broke away from his embrace and swam around the pool, stopping right next to him.

"Race you to the other side!" Shawn called out, quickly swimming ahead. We both soon made it to the end, Shawn reaching it just before me.

"That's not fair, you got a head start," I pouted and splashed him, "Meanie."

"Don't be a sore loser, babe," he splashed me back.

From there, it became an all out war as we splashed each other multiple times, water everywhere.

"Okay, okay, I give up. You win," I stopped, Shawn following as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

The sun was starting to set as we both moved over to the steps, me still in Shawn's arms as we sat down."You're so beautiful," he complimented, peppering kisses all over my face.

"Aww, Shawny, thank you!" I ran a have through his messy hair as we moved in closer, our faces almost touching.

Out of the blue, a voice called out from near the house, "Eww. You guys are cute together, but I can't watch this."

Shawn and I looked over to see his sister Aaliyah standing there with sunglasses on her head, clearly wanting to relax outside.

"You guys continue, I'll come back later. Don't have too much fun," she winked before heading back inside.

Shawn rolled his eyes then smiled at me, "Where were we?"

"Right here," I pressed my lips onto his as he softly kissed back, creating an amazing sensation.

After a few seconds, I pulled away and stood up, clearly leaving Shawn wanting more.

"Wait, I wasn't finished," he complained, watching me climb out if the pool.

"You're gonna have to catch me first," I played as Shawn smirked, running after me.
