*Shannon's POV*

I was on the tour bus with Shawn and his band and we had been driving for a couple of hours, on the move from one city to the next. It was the middle if his tour and Shawn had been away from home for almost a whole month.

At the moment, I couldn't find Shawn, which shouldn't be the hard on a tour bus, but I hadn't seen him in awhile.

I decided to check where he usually slept and found the curtain pulled over, hiding the small bed from view. And that meant he was there.

"Shawn? Is everything okay in there, hun?" I asked.

He didn't say anything though, which only made me start worrying.

"Shawn, I'm starting to worry, please answer," I tried again, but he still didn't say anything back. "I'm coming in," I said, just as I pulled back the curtain.

Shawn was lying down on his back, staring at the ceiling. His eyes were red like he had been crying.

"Shawny, what's wrong?" I questioned, sitting down next to him.

His eyes flickered to me before he started to cry. Hard. Tears ran down his cheeks to the pillow and his breaths were quick. Shawn put his arms up over his face and was still crying.

I pulled the curtain shut for some privacy and lied down next to Shawn, my arm resting around his torso. "Shh, let it out, baby," I cooed, "Just tell me what's up when you're ready."

He eventually calmed down a bit and brought his arms down so I could see his face again. I grabbed his hand and interlocked our fingers with a gentle squeeze.

"I...m-miss my...family," he cried, "a l-lot."

I placed my hand on the side of his face and wiped away his tears with my thumb, "Deep breaths, love. It's alright."

His tears slowly stopped and he breathed, "I haven't seen my mum or dad or Aaliyah in forever. And I can only talk to them over calls or facetime."

"I'm sure you'll see them soon, babe," I assured him, taking my hand through his hair, "It's not too long until you get off from tour and get to see them."

"There's eight days left, I counted," Shawn added, "I don't know if I can go through that many days and shows without seeing them." He looked absolutely heartbroken and really tired.

I continued to comfort him, "Hey, make sure you get enough sleep tonight and tomorrow and I'll talk to Andrew to see if we can work out some break time for you. I don't want you getting too overworked."

"Thank you, Shannon. You're always there for me," he smiled, "I can go talk to Andrew though." Shawn tried to sit up, but I didn't let him.

"Nope, you need rest," I told him and kissed his forehead, "I'll get you some water to keep you hydrated and we can watch a movie together."

"Thanks again," Shawn said with a slight grin. I ruffled his hair and stepped off the bed.
