*Bianca's POV*

When Shawn and I were seven years old and before that, we were absolutely beat friends.

Each day we were either both at his house or both at mine. Or at one of the parks in Pickering. We would play whatever game we could think of together, always having a great time. And at the end of the day, our parents would have to almost drag us apart, only to be right back together the next day.

It was like that for years, but when I was eleven years old, my dad had something to tell my family. He told us that he had gotten a job offering in the United States and that we would be moving there.

Away from Shawn.

I didn't take it well. I ran to my room and cried for an hour, not understanding why this had to happen.

Eventually, Shawn came over to my house and up to my room. He had already been told the news and he held an arm around me as I cried onto his shoulder.

On the day I was going to move, I cried yet again.

"Bianca," Shawn comforted as he hugged me to his chest, "We'll keep in touch. I'll call you all the time and I'll send you pictures."

I got myself together a little bit, "It's not going to be the same, but I guess we don't really have anything else to do."

Shawn released me from his tight hug and smiled. He was always so positive. "I'm going to miss you," he added, "I bet it will be really boring without me there."

"Yeah, right," I laughed, "You mean it will be boring here without me."

Shawn laughed too.

"Bianca, it's time to go," my dad called to me.

I said goodbye to Shawn for the last time. And after my parents had said their goodbyes to Shawn's parents, I was driven away, following the moving truck to somewhere else.

During the time after that, Shawn and I didn't talk as much as we thought we would. It was only a few texts and even fewer calls between us. We grew apart.

And even the very few texts stopped when Shawn started Magcon. I guess he didn't have time for me anymore.

However, there might have been some hope coming up.

*Shawn's POV*

I had just finished my tour and I was heading back home to Pickering for the holidays.

My mom had told me she had a surprise. I had no idea what it was as I came through my front door where I hadn't been for a while.

"Shawn, I missed you!" my mom called, running up and giving me a hug. I greeted my dad and Aaliyah too before taking my bags to my room.

When I came back downstairs, my mom was smiling at me. "Do you want to know what the surprise is?" she asked.

I sat down on the couch, leaning back into the cushions, "Yeah, what us it?"

"We're going to have guests over," she prompted, "Do you want to know who?"

"Come on, Mom. Just tell me," I was getting pretty excited to know who it was.
