*Shawn's POV*
"Time for dinner!" I heard my mom call. I was in my room and I quickly put down the guitar I had been playing, running down to the kitchen.
"What's for dinner, Mom?" I looked over her shoulder.
"Tomato soup," she laughed, "Your favorite."
"What? No, ew," I made a face and sat down at the dinning table, "Do I have to eat that? You know I hate tomatoes."
"Yes, you have to eat it. I'm not making anything else," she placed a bowl of it in front of me, "Come on, Shawn, at least try it."
It even looked disgusting to me, "I'll just go to my room and starve until morning." I tried to get her to change her mind, but she just laughed quietly, shaking her head.
I went back up to my room and shut the door, sitting on the floor with my back against it. I continued my strike, sitting there in my room, for a few hours until my stomach growled loudly.
It literally felt like my stomach was going to start eating itself, I was that hungry. I got up and left my room to find my mom.
"Can I please have something else to eat, Mom?" I did total puppy eyes and stuck out my bottom lip line I always did to get my way since I was little, "I'm really hungry."
She shook her head, "Nope. If you want something to eat, it's going to be the tomato soup."
"Fine," I sighed, giving in and getting some soup to warm up. I sat down with a bowl of it and ate a spoonful.
My face must have looked disgusted because Aaliyah took one look at me and started laughing, her hand over her mouth.
I stuck my tongue out at her and kept eating even though I hated it.

"And that was how I was forced to eat tomatoes and almost died," I told Shannon who sat next to me.
"Don't be a drama queen, Shawn," she smiled, "There's no way it was that bad."
"I swear it was," I defended, "Ew, I can still remember how it tasted."
"Drama queen," Shannon teased.
"You know you love me."
She nodded, "Yeah."
