Tour Surprise (Requested)

*Y/n's POV*

Shawn had been on tour for weeks and I was gladly coming along with him. I could tell he really loved having me there, but he had been acting different.

He seemed like his mind was always somewhere else, even when he was talking to me, which never happened.

One day when we were traveling on the tour bus to thr next show, I found Shawn all by himself listening to his song "Hold On", his eyes glassy with tears.

That was when I knew something was wrong.

I decided to call his dad, Manny, and see if he could come to visit Shawn and he said yes.

So, when I woke up the next morning next to a sleeping Shawn, I knew Manny was in the next room and Shawn had no idea.

I got up out of bed to answer a knock at the door and I saw that it was Shawn's dad.

"Hi, thank you for coming. Shawn really needs you," I hugged him. To me, Shawn's family was my family.

"No problem," he grinned, "I've been missing him too of course. I guess I'll wait out here to surprise him."

"Yeah," I nodded, "I'll get him up and ready." I closed the door and walked over to Shawn who was starting to wake up.

"Who was that at the door, Y/n?" Shawn asked, rolling over on his back.

"No one, babe, just Andrew checking up on you," I told him, "Do you want to get up?"

Shawn groaned quietly and I noticed how tired he looked. I wondered it he had even been sleeping lately.

"Here Shawn, let's get ready," I helped him out of bed and led him to the bathroom.

Shawn got dressed and brushed his teeth, then stood looking in the mirror as I sat on the counter next to him. "I miss my dad," he said randomly and I had to try hard not to smile.

"Hey, it's okay," I stood up and held his hand, "I promise you'll see him soon."

Shawn just nodded silently, not really believing me and I was relieved he didn't.

"Come on, let's go get breakfast," I led him towards the door, still holding his hand. He walked in front of me and I quickly got my phone out without him noticing and started recording so I could get his reaction.

"Okay. I - " he tried to reply to me, but his breath seemed to catch in his throat when he saw Manny right outside.

"Dad!" Shawn cried happily and quickly hugged his dad tight. I went to the side of them to get a better camera angle and saw that tears were falling down Shawn's cheeks from his tightly shut eyes. He had a huge smile on his face.

My heart melted.

"I can't believe you're here, Dad. I missed you so much. Look at me I'm crying and everything," Shawn beamed, pulling away and wiping away his tears, "How did you get here?"

"Well, you're girlfriend Y/n over there told me you could use a visit from me," Manny explained, "I got here last night."

"Y/n, you - wait are you filming me?"

"Maybe," I smirked.

"Stop it," Shawn smiled, covering his face.

"Okay, fine," I grinned, stopping the recording.

For practically the rest of the day, Shawn was mostly spending time with his dad and I just tagged along, but I didn't mind at all.

Shawn was really happy and I was loving showing his fans the video of his reaction.

When it was just Shawn and I  back in the hotel room, he hugged me tightly from behind.

"Thank you for doing all that to surprise me, Y/n," he sang, "I didn't know how much I needed that."

"Of course, baby. I'm glad you're feeling better."

We sat on the hotel bed next to each other, Shawn looking on his phone.

"No...you didn't post the video...oh no you did!" Shawn blushed, laughing a little.

"Hey, you have to admit it's adorable," I grinned as he reached for my hand.

"I am really adorable, aren't I?" Shawn joked and I laughed loudly.

I finally has my old Shawny back.
