Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 1

"Excuse me ladies" a man I recognize as Paul from Luke's snapchats says "are you suppose to be back here?" I gulp intimidated by his size "well y-" Natalie starts "Natalie, Skyler" I hear Ashton's familiar voice call I turn around to see Ashton running towards us "don't worry Paul they're with us" he assures him sending him a wink. 

"this is Cal's girlfriend, and this is Luke's" Ashton announces pointing at us Pauls eyes go wide "it's very nice to meet you both they've been taking about you none stop" I blush his Walkie Talkie begins to say what sounds like stage directions.  

"well duty calls" he smiles walking away Ashton snorts "duty calls." "Ashton!" we yell both giving him a quick hug "I missed you lunatic's so much! Did you enjoy the show?" He asks excitedly pulling out a key and unlocking the dressing room door.  

"the guys will be here soon just got to get there instruments sorted" he says collapsing onto one of the couches "woah" Natalie says looking around the room "believe it or not this isn't even the best dressing room we've had guys it's been insane" He says amazement in his voice, we hear footsteps from down the hall and Ashton jumps up.  

"quick hide!" he says turning the lights off Natalie and I scurry around the dressing room and I settle for behind the couch. "No I'm telling you bro that solo was sick" I hear Calum say as he turns the lights on "hey where'd Ash go?" "I don't no he just kindo-" Natalie and I scream jumping up from our hiding spots Luke, and Calum jump and Michael picks up a lamp. 

"Holy shit I hate you both" Michael says dropping the lamp coming to hug me. Ashton comes out of his hiding spot a camera in his hand as he clutches his stomach 

"that was priceless this is so going on keek, Michael you picked up a lamp" he says breathlessly in between fits of giggles falling back onto the couch. Michael let's go running over to Natalie and Calum, "Hi" Luke whispers I smile leaning up on my toes and placing a quick kiss on his lips "I missed you" I whisper back.

Natalie's POV

I bounded into Calum as he immediately picked me up and held me close.  I held onto him tightly, gripping onto his tank top and my head in his chest.  "Oh my god you have idea how long I've wanted to do this for." he whispered to me and I finally kissed him, for the first time months.

"What's funny is that I barely have anything to say." I said before Calum laughed and said "Unusual really."  I smiled at him before he pulled me close him again and I breathed in the scent of his cologne.  God, I loved his cologne, as I gripped onto him like a koala. 

"Alright since you two are just gonna you know....do that....." Ashton said motioning between me and Calum.  "USE PROTECTION!!!" Michael yelled as he ran out the door with Ashton in his grip.  

Me and Cal blushed a little before Luke and Skyler said "Well ummm...."  They left too a couple seconds.  "Well then." Calum stated now that we were all alone.  "Sorry about them you know how they are." I said shrugging as I took a spot down on the couch.

"How are you babe?" Calum asked suddenly as I looked to him and said "Fine, but I guess I'm just tired.  I mean how do you guys do it, I mean LOOKING at you guys tires me out." Calum smiled and said "You get used to it after a while."

I then felt myself lean back onto the couch before my eyes shut.  "Wow you are tired." he whispered tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.  "Ughhhh I've missed you and I want to just do things and whatever but I can't because for some reason I'm absolutely exhausted and I want to spend time with you because I haven't even done anything with you in ages and just-" but I got cut off by Calum's lips.  

"Calm down babe it's fine.  We have time." he whispered before giving me another kiss on the temple.  I sighed before I closed my eyes and laid my head back.  "Do you wanna cuddle?" he whispered by my ear before my lips curved into a small smile.  

Calum's arms gently wrapped around me before pulling me towards him and into his chest.  I sighed biting my lip.  I had missed having him around, heck, even being with him anyways.  

"I really hope you know though that I missed you like hell." Calum whispered to me after a couple minutes his fingers ran through my hair.  "Same here.  I bet you I missed you more." I joked, snuggling myself closer to him, arms wrapped around him.

"No I did!" he said giving my cheek a peck.  I sighed and said "Well then here's a better question: who loves the other one more?" "Oh please I totally win that one." Calum said immediately before I said "NO WAY.  I love you more!"

"But I love you most." he whispered giving me another peck before I felt sleep finally drag me into itself, as I silently slept in Cal's arms.
