When you follow God that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. He doesn't restrict you but a lot of things in this world aren't in line with Him at all and you just can't do them and follow God at the same time because they contradict each other. Yes there is a certain level of trying to get better and move away from those things but at a certain point you just have to stop it. God isn't a mean dictator with a stick making rules because He feels like it, the things He tells us to do and not do really are better for us. When you live like Jesus did you start having your life transformed because you're living it a different way. You don't have to be perfect no expects you to have everything all figured out but your life should be a work in progress. The things you do, the things you read, the things you post, the way you talk, it all says a lot about you and it should be lined up with what Jesus would do. When it's fake then you need to look at your mind, heart, and soul, and see how they're doing because chances are that's what you're actions are reflecting what's inside of you.
