Day 114

You can't act like Jesus did if you don't know how He acted. That's why you need to read the Bible. You can't do God's will if you don't know what His will is and you aren't going to find His will anywhere else. Yes in church and there is a slight possibility at a Christian private school but mainly through the Bible. You don't get God's will through tv, work, or anywhere else in your life. So spend like five minutes a day just reading the Bible, yes devotionals and other Christian books are good and I encourage you to read them, especially devotionals. But they aren't the same as God's direct words.

Start in Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John, read about how Jesus behaved on Earth and what He says to us. Then read the rest of the New Testament which shows the early Christian church and what Jesus' closest followers have to say. After the New Testament then you can go back and read the Old Testament which shows God helping the Jewish people since the beginning of time to a thousand years before Jesus came. When you read the Bible I encourage you to write in it, write down thought you had while reading or mark things you don't understand.
