Cato Pov.
I ring the doorbell, I leave the Katniss roots and flowers bouquet on the doorstep with the card. I jump behind the bush, waiting for her to come out.
She opens the door, she looks down confused and then picks it up.
She reads it out loud, "Will you go to prom with me? Love, Cato"
I jump from the bush and she doesn't even flinch. I walk up to her and hug her. It takes her a second before hugging back.
"Will you go with me?" I ask.
"Cato, I would love to, but I'm already going with someone else." she tells me.
"Who?" I ask, even though I know Peeta and her are back together.
"Peeta," she says.
"Katniss I don't want him to her you again."
"I know Cato, and you're a really good friend. Can I make you a deal?" she asks.
"I guess," I start.
"If you don't get a date, you can go with Peeta and I in a group." she tells me.
"Deal." I shake her hand, I forgot what her hand feels like when it's touching mine.
