Falling For You

Chapter 83: Slingshot

We walk around and I see the game where you shoot water at a target and it counts up and whoever gets the balloon to pop first wins.

"Let's play this game." I tell Austin. We walk over to it and the girl running the game looks at us and gasps.

"Mahomie?" Austin asks.

"Yes!" She says. He smiles.

"Well it's nice to meet you. What's your name?" He says.

"My names Jessica. And.. Happy birthday!" She says.

"Thanks. It's nice to meet you Jessica." He says.

"Can I take a picture with you? Then you can get to your game." She asks.

"Sure thing." He says. She pulls out her phone and takes a picture with Austin. I give her the money and we start our game. Austin wins the first game, then we play again, and I win. We both win tiny stuffed animals.

"Bye." Austin says.

"Bye." She says to him. We walk away.

"I'm starving." I say.

"What time is it?" He asks. I pull out my phone and see it's almost 11:30.

"11:30." I say.

"What time do you have to be at the venue?" He asks.

"Mike said 1:30." I say.

"Let's go ride a ride first, then we can go eat." He says.

"Okay... What ride?" I ask.

"The slingshot." He says.

"Your gonna make me get on that." I ask while we get closer to the ride. If you don't know the slingshot is a ride that your in a ball and it launches you up like your in a slingshot then it pulls you back down.

"Pleaseeeee." He says looking at me with puppy dog eyes, and his bottom lip out.

"Fine." I say. We walk over and pay for our tickets, then hop in line. There isn't that many people in line for the ride. So we don't have to wait long.

When it's our turn I take my phone, and wallet out of my pocket, Austin takes off his necklace, then puts his phone and wallet in the same box as mine, then we get on the ride. The man running the ride buckles is both up, then closes the ball, and locks it. I grab Austin's hand.

"Nervous?" He asks.

"Have you heard how many accident have been on this?" I ask.

"It's gonna be okay." He says. I take a breath, and the ball launches straight up. I scream bloody murder, and the ride keeps going. I calm down, and then the ride stops. I look over at Austin and he's laughing.

"That was not funny." I say. The ride stops and the man helps me out. I grab my phone and wallet, and Austin grabs his stuff. I'm still shaking because I was nervous. We go and buy our video, then go to subway.
