I get a text from mike saying that I have to be at the venue at 1:30 because the concert starts at 3. I look at the time and see that it's 10:30. So we have like 2 hours.
"We have 2 hours. What do you wanna do?" I ask Austin.
"I don't know. What do you wanna do." He says.
"I just got changed. And I don't wanna change again. So beach is a now. Do you wanna go to the boardwalk for a little bit?" I ask him.
"Sure let me go get changed." He says. He stands up off the bed, and goes into the closet. I grab the tray I brought his food on and walk downstairs so I can clean up. Eve and Alex are sitting on the couch playing video games. I walk into the kitchen and clean up the plates. I finish most of the dishes in the sink when I feel arms wrap around my waist. I look behind me and see Austin smiling.
"Hi." I say.
"Hi." He says. I kiss his nose then put the last dish into the dishwasher.
"Can we ride the Segway's to the boardwalk?" I ask.
"Sure." He says.
"Let's go." I say. We walk outside and he grabs his red Segway, and then goes back and gets my purple one. I get on mine.
"Let's race." He says.
"Okay. What does the winner get?" I ask.
"First one to the boardwalk gets to choose where we eat." He says.
"And a kiss." I add.
"And a kiss." He repeats smiling.
"Ok.. On your mark, get set.. Go!" I say. We start racing. The board walk is like 5 minutes from the house so it's not that far. I'm ahead of Austin. Then he gets ahead of me. I know a shortcut from here to the boardwalk. I make a turn and go through the shortcut. I get to the boardwalk and see Austin isn't here yet. Then he comes around the corner.
"You cheated!" He says stopping next to me.
"Did not. There were no rules stated that we could not use shortcuts." I say.
"Still not fair." He says. I smile.
"Now pay up." I say. He leans over and kisses me.
"Okay. Where do you wanna go for lunch?" He asks.
"Subway!" I say. He smiles. "But it's not lunch time. So let's go play some games." I say. We go and park the Segway's and take the keys out of them so no one can steal them. Boardwalk time!
