I see Tiago sitting on my bed. "How did-" I stutter.
"My business trip was cancelled. For five days you were missing. I was worried. Where were you?"
"I was. . ." I started.
"You were? Let me tell you where you were." He walked towards me and twisted my hand. I shrieked in pain. "You were gone, with an utter stranger-"
"He is-"
He twists my hand further, "Don't interupt me," he widens his eyes at me and I whimper in pain. "As I was saying. You were gone, with an utter stranger who showed you the world I couldn't show. Am I right?" I don't say anything and he twists it more. I clench my teeth tightly and nod. He releases me and walks away.
My arm was sore and it ached as I moved it. I look at it and it had purple bruises where Tiago held it.
I slide my drawer open and saw the blade shining, calling me to use it. Half of my brain says do it. The other half says not to break the promise. Promises are meant to be broken. I reached for the blade but an invisible shield pulls me back.
I slam the drawer, shut. Lied on my bed as tears poured out. I clutched my arms and curled up into a ball as if protecting myself.
