'Be on the side that saves people.'

Those words repeated over and over again in the young executives head, as he walked back into the dull halls of the Port Mafia.

Sakunosuke Oda was dead.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

The young man knew what his friend told him to do. He wanted him to leave the Port Mafia... To become the good man that he had longed to be himself.

The question was: "could he?" Could he really be a man that saves people? Even after all the horrible crimes he's committed?

But now wasn't the time for him to think about these things. He had to carry on his dear friends final request.

So he walked down the empty halls one last time, almost as if he was looking for an excuse to stay. For anything that told him that he belonged in the Port Mafia. That there was something there for him.

But he found nothing.

The sounds of footsteps halted as the man came across a familiar room. The room belonged to Y/n L/n, his childhood friend.

The two haven't talked in ages, due to the amount of work that she was given, having just become an executive herself.

Without knowing exactly what he was doing, the man was knocking on the door.

"Y/n?" He called out.

To his surprise the door opened, creaking loudly as he pushed the door completely. The room was dark and empty. Papers and clothes were scattered about.

The man smiled, a sad smile.

"She's not here, huh?" He asked.

He had hoped that the (h/c) haired girl would be there, telling him that he should stay. To give him a reason.

For some reason, tears began to well up in the executives eyes, as he fell to his knees. He felt sad, angry and lonely. He was alone. He had lost two friends that day.

"What do I do?" He asked, his voice cracking slightly.

He looked at his trembling hands, dried blooded still caked on the bandages.

'Be on the side that saves people.'

What he needed now more than ever, was a friend. Someone to pull him back into reality. Someone who would hug him close and tell him that he was going to be okay. To calm him down.

But again, no one was there.

'People only exist to save themselves.'

It was at that moment that Dazai had decided what he was going to do. As he stood he found a picture of an orange-haired boy, a (h/c)-haired girl and a brown-haired boy. All of them standing next to each other, posing for the camera.

The orange haired boy was glaring at the brown haired boy, who was smiling down at the girl who had her arms wrapped around both of them, giving the camera a closed-eyed smile.

"I'm sorry." The man stated, placing the photograph down, covering the picture.
