Seating himself on the wall of his balcony and having the railing to keep him from falling, Daichi overlooked the busy streets he lived near. It would only be a matter of minutes before Suga would come home, which only made his situation so much harder.

Work had been tiring, college had him drained and the only moment of relaxation he had lasted merily a few minutes. Yes, he could always ask Suga for a moment of quiet, but that would be facing the exact reason of his struggling – his feelings for his friend were certainly getting in the way.

Daichi had spent most of his day thinking of a way to make himself feel better, but every time he landed on the same outcome – and the outcome scared him. Confessing was supposed to be a nice thing, right?

Then why did the idea of it already shake him up and make him nervous? If he already stumbled over his words in a presentation, then how would he tell the guy he liked how he felt?

The click of his appartment's lock was heard and the teen flinched in place, feeling the last bit of non-stress he felt wash away in an instant.

"Hey..." He said, worrying the silver haired setter a little.

Daichi's face was pale, to the worrying extent that if anyone else would've entered the appartment, they would've thought he was seriously sick or injured.

"Please don't 'hey' me if you're hurting like that," Suga stated, putting his bag down and walking closer to his friend. "What's going on?"

The younger one of the two tried to clear his mind but had a hard time doing so, the temptation of just kissing the setter's lips and getting it over with growing rather large.

The silence made Suga genuinely question if something bad had happened to Daichi, which the black haired male realized soon enough. Not wanting to worry the setter any longer, he gathered his courage together and got himself to firmly stand on two feet and eyed his friend with an unsure expression on his face.

The realization began to hit him more and more as he prepared himself to speak, surprising the setter when he did. "I like you, Suga."

His voice became almost desperate, rather hopeful as well as he wished this thing could just be over. "I really, really like you."

Awaiting the answer was a wrecking process, especially because of the fact that by using three simple words, he could've ruined their friendship. With three single words, he could've made their shared appartment a nightmare. With three single words-

A relieved sigh escaped Suga's lips and caught Daichi off guard, whose face was starting to lose more and more of its color. When seeing his friend smile like that, Daichi could feel his cheeks burn up – but the lack of an answer still had him anxious. No response was also a response, wasn't it?

"S-Sorry, I-I didn't mean to weird you out or anything...!" He turned around and wanted to walk away, knowing that staying in the room would end up awkward – but Suga grabbed his wrist.

"Why would you leave?"

Daichi scratched the back of his neck nervously and had a hint of red on his cheeks still as he looked away, "Because I ruined something with the one person I wanted to be close to."

Suga cocked a brow, "Ruined? What do you mean?"

Did he not realize that Daichi just confessed to him?

"You... You don't...?"

"Daichi, I'm just teasing. I really like you too."

The spiker blinked once, then twice, thrice – did he hear that correctly?

The boy was stammering over his words yet again and had Suga smile, before the setter stood on his toes and gently placed his lips against Daichi's nose. He really had his ways of breaking the boy, and he proved that ability to be true yet again.

"So please don't leave. I want to spent the rest of my day with you."

Daichi was still blushing furiously and spat out a few words, not expecting him to speak these words so soon. "I-I want to spend the rest of my life with you...! I-If you'll let me, that is..."

The setter pecked his friend's cheek and laughed, "Of course, Daichi. Anything for you."
