« Happy Birthday! » || Sugawara Kōshi x Reader

"Happy birthday, {F/N}-san!" Suga cheered, being greeted by her face as she open the door. "I brought you something!"

{F/N} laughed at how happy he seemed and let him in, looking at the clock on her wall. "Thank you, Suga-san! You're early, though! I'm not celebrating the big thing for like, another half an hour. Take a seat wherever you want, though!"

The silver haired setter seated himself on the couch and she joined him, enjoying the last few minutes of peace they had.

"Sitting like this reminds me of when we used to have that weekly movie night," She laughed. "You know, back when my parents left every weekend and I'd stay over at your place?"

"Like I'd forget! I'm still so sorry for what happened to them... But seeing how well you can take care of yourself puts me somewhat at ease."

{F/N}'s parents were on a business trip a couple months ago and got dragged into a massive car accident, sadly killing both of them as soon as the collision happened.

"They made sure to teach me about everything before they took their leave... It's still weird to think about it. I had spoken to them the night before, a-and I just..."

Without even realizing it, she was starting to shed tears. Suga hated seeing her sad, so he wrapped an arm around her with a saddened look on his face. "I understand. Know that I'm always here for you, okay?"

{F/N} nodded silently as she buried her face in his chest, continuing to softly sob as he ran his finger through her hair. "Please, don't cry... Seeing you cry makes me sad."

Realizing he was right, she moved her head away from him and wiped her tears, letting out a light chuckle as she sniffed. "Sorry, I didn't mean for that to happen."

The boy smiled softly and turned his back to her so he could get her present, holding it out to her when he found it. "It's only natural! Now, open up!"

{F/N} shook her head, "I'm not celebrating yet!"

She refused to open it, but the boy kept on trying. "Please? I'd rather have you open it before the crowd comes."

He had his ways with words and facial expressions that seemed to get to her every time, and once again she were unable to say no to that cute face of his. "Okay, okay, fine! But knock it off with the puppy eyes, you're gonna give me a heart attack one of these days!"

{F/N} took the present from his hands and stared at the box, gently tugging at the velvet ribbon that was wrapped around it. She carefully removed the lid of the black box and was instantly greeted with the shimmers of a bejeweled necklace.

"S-Suga... This is too much..." She carefully got it out of the box and held it out in front of herself, adoring it and wondering why he went out of his way to get her something like this. "It's beautiful..."

Suga smiled at her and had that familiar toothy smile of his lingering on his face, making her heart race even more than it already did. "I only buy beautiful things for beautiful girls. I'm really glad you like it."

{F/N} snapped her head towards him, unintentionally minimizing the distance between the two of them. There was only a centimeter or two in between the two teens, which made her nervous and both of them blush slightly.

"I've been wanting to do this for a while now," Suga whispered, his breath tickling her lips before he came closer. "So once again, happy birthday {F/N}."

He leaned in further and closed the gap between her lips and his. She were slightly surprised by him doing this, but she'd be lying if she said she hated it.

He pulled away and gave her a sheepish smile, making her chuckle. "You know you could've done that without spending a fortune on me, right?"

He wrapped an arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to him, "Yeah, but you're worth spending a fortune for."

{F/N} nuzzled her head on his shoulder and sighed with a smile on her face, "Smooth recovery."

"Only around you."

"You better. I don't want to share my boyfriend with anybody else."
