"This is the fourth time you've taken her for testings" Eric said angry at one of the doctors that followed the man that took Morgan in the gurney one more time "what else do you have to fucking test? Hasn't she had enough?"

"There's still some things about her condition that we don't understand, but we will have answers after this last round of tests, I promise"

"You fucking better" he took a short step closer "you don't want to know what I do to people that don't keep their promises with me"

The doctor dashed out of the conversation. Eric sighed and moved to sit back in his spot.

Creed had left some hours ago after being ordered by Eric to not act. He didn't want to make anyone suspicious of what he was going to do.

Of course, Eric was the head of Dauntless now, he could do as he pleased. But if all the other leaders turned against him, there was nothing he could do. Well... Nothing civil he could do.

He decided to plan everything quietly, find the people who attacked Morgan and kill them, quietly, it wasn't going to be a show, or a message, just some good old fashion revenge.

Morgan's body was wheeled into the room again, and the nurse that was behind her stopped to talk to Eric.

"We will have some results in a few hours, she's obviously staying the night, you're welcome to accompany her"

She motioned at him to enter the room, then left.

Eric mustered enough strength to enter, he opened the door and got in.

Is this what Morgan had felt when she walked in the hospital when he was in coma? That dread, the pit in the stomach, throat being closed. Was that it? Was there even more pain to be felt? If there was, he didn't want to know, all the sensations he was feeling at the moment were already too much.

He walked into the room, took a chair that was propped up against the wall and moved it.

His hand came instantly to Morgan's, it was still warm, though it was all taped up, an IV had been stocked shut into it.

He sighed, then his eyes moved to her face.

There was more, even more pain in his chest, he couldn't stop tears from falling on his cheeks. Tears of rage, sadness, impotence.

He had wished a thousand times it had been him instead of Morgan. Just anyone but Morgan.

He whipped his tears in a fast move, being annoyed at the spit second of weakness he had had. But he couldn't help it, watching her like that was damn near his worst nightmare.

He knew now more than ever that she was the strongest out of the pair. She had managed to get this going and take care of him when he was in this position. He couldn't bear himself to move a step away from her.

He leaned in, his hand lifted up to her head, then he slowly placed it on her forehead, tracing his fingertips on her her cheek.

Thankfully, her face wasn't badly bruised, she just had a big lump on her jaw, he didn't want to lift her hospital gown up to inspect her other wounds further. It was probably for the best. Seeing her bruises would only drive him even more angry, and he would act recklessly, which wouldn't be convenient.

He placed his cheek on the rim of the pillow, inhaling Morgan's hair conditioner. His hand was still intertwined with hers, his fingers tracing her cheek softly.

Eric didn't know for how long he had been in that position, just looking at Morgan sleep. God he hoped she was just sleeping.

He felt his hand being gripped, then straightened himself to look down at her.
