Meeting the love of your life's parents is awkward enough without one of them catching you with their son pushed up against the wall with both of you bare chested and kissing like there is no tomorrow.
Alec looks up as his mom clears her throat.
"Mom, you know magnus."
"Yes, i know him but not as well as you know him." She says. "How long have you two been a couple?"
"Four months." Magnus answers.
"Are you happy?"
"I've never been happier." Alec says, pulling magnus close.
"That's all I need to hear." Maryse says, walking away.

"What are you doing here, warlock?" Robert says, opening the door. "You weren't summoned here."
"I know I wasn't. That is why I didn't come in." Magnus says as alec walks out.
"What's going on?"
"This warlock showed up here without being summoned."
"Actually." Alec says, walking down the stairs to stand next to magnus. "He is here to pick me up for our date."
"I forbid you to go out with this."
"You can't forbid me to do anything. "
"If you choose this warlock then you are no longer my son."
"How can you say that." Maryse says, walking up behind robert.
"He is a disgrace and no longer my son."
"Leave. Go back to idris."
"You can't tell me to leave."
"I just did." She says as he slams the front door.
"Thanks, mom." Alec says, hugging her and then leaving with magnus.
