Zayn's P.O.V.

A while after the whole dramatic incident, Liam leaves for work. He got a job at Target because he needs money. Obviously. College is very expensive, even a community college like this. Thankfully, I'm blessed to have a family which pays for the whole thing.

I've got rich god parents who help out a lot. I probably should get a job anyway because I need to prepare for the future. I've never had a job in my whole life.

I spend the next couple of hours trying to contact my dad. As much as I disagree with his views on some things, he still is my father and I don't even know when he is going home. He could be on the flight home right now, for all I know.

After calling him for the third time, I finally here his voice on the other end.

"Hello?" He says, quite gruffly. It's hard to hear him because of a lot of noise in the background.

"Hi? Hello? Can you hear me?" I ask.

"I can hear you just fine. Speak." He says.

I take a deep breath. "Well uh I...I just thought we could meet up and talk before you go back home?"

"I'm leaving tonight. My flight leaves at 11." He says.

My eyes widen. "S-so we can meet up for dinner? Just the two of us?"

He huffs. "Alright. There's a sushi place by my hotel so we'll meet there at 5."

"Great. I'll uh-I'll see you then." I say and hang up. I don't know why I'm so nervous.

I run down to the bathrooms and take a quick shower. It's already 4 and I don't even know how far away the restaurant is.

By the time I come back to my room, I find Niall sprawled out on my bed.

"Can I help you?" I ask, tightening my grip on the towel which is loosely hung around my hips.

"Yes you can. I lost my lucky football and the only place I haven't searched is your room. Can you check if it's in here?" He asks, taking a bite of the sandwhich that he's holding.

I sigh. "First of all, you're getting crumbs all over my bed. Get off. And also, I don't even play football. I've never even seen your damn football. If you don't mind, I need to get dressed so get out."

His eyes widen. "Damn sorry, I didn't realize you were on your period."

I roll my eyes and throw a dirty T-shirt at his blonde head. "Ni, I'll look out for your lucky ball but please leave."

"Please Zayn it's important." He begs as he leaves.

"I doubt it's here so I'd keep looking if I were you." I tell him before closing and locking the door behind him.

I quickly throw on a gray shirt with some black skinny jeans, nothing too fancy. To be completely honest, these are probably the fanciest clothes I own.

I don't try too hard with my hair, just use some gel to make it stand up more, but it still looks messy. I know that's exactly how Liam likes it. He's told me that it's easy for him to run his fingers through my hair this way, which I like. It's quite relaxing.

It's weird how big of an affect he has on my everyday life.

After checking my appearance for the hundredth time, in the small mirror I bought from ikea, I feel like I'm ready.

Remembering what Niall said, I look under my bed and through my shelves, but there is no football to be found. I don't know why he bothered asking me anyway, I'm shit at sports.

I grab some money and use my phone to get an uber. It says that my ride will be here in ten minutes and it's only 7:30. I'm quite proud of my time management skills lately.

"Niall!" I call out. "I didn't find your ball in my room."

I hear him yell something, but I don't really understand what it is. I just shrug and make my way out of the room.

I take my time walking down the hallway and out into the warm Californian air. It feels great against my skin.

Tonight will be stressful but it'll be okay. As long as I don't bring up homosexuality for a couple hours. All I have to do is compliment him a lot, talk about my good grades, and then drop him off at the airport. No big deal...right?

My Uber pulls up, right on time. I tell the older man where I'm trying to get to and we're off.

"So you're gonna spend a night out on the town?" The man asks me, making eye contact with me through the rear view mirror.

Great. He's a talker.

"Uh not really. Just gonna spend some time with my dad." I say quickly, hoping he understands that I don't wanna talk.

"That's nice. You know, I haven't seen my father in months. He lives alone and I worry about him everyday because he's getting older and..."

I drone out his random blabbering, just nodding and smiling every once in a while to make it seem like I'm listening. Meanwhile, I'm getting more nervous and anxious on the inside.

I arrive at the restaurant 15 minutes later. I'm a few minutes early, but it's better than being late. I pay the guy and make my way inside.

"Zayn!" I immediately hear my name being called and I turn around to find my father sitting at a table near the back.

I sit down across from him and smile. "Hey, how are you liking California?"

He shrugs. "It's quite nice but it's not Bradford, you know? Too expensive, too many people everywhere, too much excitement."

"Yea I guess." I chuckle.

"There's too many genders." He mumbles, raising his eyebrows.

I ignore his comment and focus my eyes on the menu. "Wow there's so many choices." I say, lamely.

He nods. "Yea I ordered you a coke."

"Great thanks." I say and feel my phone buzz against my leg.

Liam: U having dinner w ur dad?
Zayn: Yup wanna make things right before he leaves
Liam: Have fun, text me if u need anything
Liam: I'll have a movie set up for when you come back ;)
Zayn: Thanks ur the best boyfriend ever ;)
Liam: I can't wait to have my dick down ur throat

My eyes widen and I turn off my phone. The whole movie idea is obviously not as innocent as I first thought.

I groan internally when I feel blood rushing between my legs, and I begin growing hard. Just the thought of kneeling in front of him w-

My thoughts are interrupted as a tall glass of coke is slammed down in front of me. "Are you boys ready to order?" The waitress asks, shooting us a smile.

I'm still in a bit of a daze as I'm ordering so I just ask the brunette to get me whatever my dad is having. I can't wait to go home to my beautiful boy.

"I'm gonna go wash my hands." I say, excusing myself from the table.

They've still got a bit of hair gel on them from before and plus, I don't remember the last time I've washed them. The last thing I want right now is to get sick.

I take my time, fixing my hair in the mirror before heading back out.

I sit back down at my seat and all the blood drains from my face when I see the sight in front of me.

Oh shit.
