Chapter 17 Soldier Electricity's New Attack
Emily's POV
"Oh cool!! It's foggy day schedule!! That means no school!!" I yelled out loud happily.
"What did you say?!" My sister Leslie asked me her eyes sparkling.
"Look!!" I said pointing at the TV.
Leslie followed my finger and she started smiling like a lunatic.
"No way!!" She said.
"Yes way!!" I said.
We started jumping like little schoolgirls.
"Oh yeah! I have to call Paul because knowing him he will wake up late and won't see the TV." I said grabbing my cellphone.
I dialed his number and waited for a bit until I heard a very lazy voice answer.
"Hello?" I almost laughed out loud.
"It's me Emily." I responded.
"What do you want?" He asked irritated that I interrupted his peaceful sleep.
"There's no school today." I informed him.
"Okay bye." He said and the line went dead.
I waited about 30 seconds until I slowly dialed his number.
It ringed for a bit then he answered me.
"Yes?"
"Paul..." I said sweetly.
"What?" He asked fear in his voice.
I took in a deep deep breathe and yelled through the phone, "HOW DARE YOU JUST HANG UP ON ME YOU RUDE JERK!!"
I swear I could hear him jumping off the bed getting ready to talk back.
"WELL YOU SHOULD KNOW I'M A LATE SLEEPER!!" He yelled back at me.
"WELL YOU SHOULD RESPOND WITH A GOOD MORNING LIKE ANY NORMAL PERSON IN THE WORLD!!" I yelled back sharply.
"IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED I AIN'T A NORMAL PERSON!!" He said.
"Oh yeah... You do have a point..." I said finally thinking it over.
"Well now that I cleared things up goodnight." He said and the line went dead once more.
I sat on the bed and counted to ten in my head.
Then the phone rang just as I had suspected.
I answered. "Yes?" I asked with a cheery voice.
"So... There's no school?" He asked hopefully.
"Yup!" I said.
It was quiet then I heard him say, "Meet me at the park with the Ale and Esteban. Right now."
I smiled and said, "Sure."
I changed my pajamas and I told my mom and Leslie that I was going to the park with my friends.
After a long walk I finally reached the park and I found them sitting down on a blanket.
This was a picnic perhaps?
I walked over to them and plopped down in front of them.
"Okay... a picnic on a foggy day?" I asked not believing my eyes.
"Yeah, why not?" Esteban asked.
I stood quiet then shrugged and ate a sandwich.
After a very long time we found out the whole place was deserted.
