Music was playing and not just any music, 1980's Funkadelic.

Daysia definitely knew who arrived in the drive way.

A tall brown skin man was standing on the porch.

A couple of knocks were given on the door.

Daysia slided over to the door.

"Coming!"

"Hey daddy." Daysia said while leading her Dad into the living room.

"This is my dad, my mom would've been here but said she couldn't make it."

"Dad, these are my friends Dario and James. You know Brazil and Miciah and I mean you've met Annick plenty of times so."

"Oh alright, alright I'm Damon." He said while waving his hand, his keys making a little Jingle.

The group all said hello, Annick walked over to give him a hug.

"Well damn the whole room is diverse." Damon said while looking around.

"Well that was the point." Daysia said.

Jeffery came downstairs and pecked Daysia on the cheek.

"Daysia is your fam-"

Everyone's eyes were connected with Jeffery and Damon.

Jeffery turned around to see Daysia's dad in front of him.

"Daysia who's this?" Damon said while eyeing Jeff.

"Oh...this is my boyfriend Jeffery." Daysia said while holding Jeffrey's arm.

"Oh I'm sorry, sir uh Mr. Simpson.." Jeffery said while holding his hand out.

Damon was cut off by Stephanie, Daysia's mom.

"This is the right house I hope."

Daysia smiled.

"Aww mama you made it!"

Annick got up and hugged Stephanie.

"Glad you were able to make it."

James mumbled.

"If Daysia's parents are so...well Daysia's mom is so nice why isn't Daysia?"

Jeffery got up, "Hi Ms. Birton I'm Jeffery, Daysia's boyfriend."

Daysia's mom grinned.

"Would you look at that..."

By this time Randy was back with his siblings behind him.

Isabel immediately ran to Annick.

"I missed you!" She exclaimed.

"I missed you too." Annick giggled.

"Aye what's good Mason?" Dario asked, knowing Randy's older brother from the football team.

"Just got married." Mason smirked.

"Damn, you were even a bigger player than I was."

"Yeah I'm gonna miss those days." He said, making Nadine clear her throat.

He turned to her, taking her hand.

"I love you."

"Whatever." She said rolling her eyes.

"Miciah?"

Miciah turned to the door and shrieked when she saw her mom.

"Mommy!" She yelled running to her.
