Chapter 36

The unscheduled rain had everyone in a bad mood. Most agents were out on a mission when it started, the rest complained about going out into the rain, Anderson just told everyone they were not going to melt.

It was the next day after Caden ran into Samantha at the park. He was in his office on his computer but Samantha was in her own office. She said she had something she was looking into and did not seem to want to talk about it so Caden did not pry and let her handle whatever it was.

He was checking his Email and saw one from someone he did not know. The subject was labeled, Thanks to you and your friend. Instantly Caden thought it was from someone he saved, and he was right, but he was not expecting it to be from someone he saved years ago.

A picture was attached to the Email but he saw the note above it first. The note read,

I'm not sure if you remember me but my name is Julia Dixon. You and your friend had saved my life a few years ago. I honestly didn't think anyone would help me and I can never thank you or him enough. You're the reason I'm here today and I wanted to thank you both again for what you did.

Caden scrolled down to the picture seeing a familiar face that matched the familiar name. Her hair was cut short but it was long when he first met her. A man was by her side and a baby in her arms. A note was at the bottom too.

P.S. Me and my husband decided to name him Kaden, River, Dixon.

She knew his name was spelled with a C but she wanted to spell it with a K to make them a little different. She also knew Anderson's last names was Rivers with an S at the end but River sounded better.

All Caden could do was smile and hearing from her again brought back a memory he could never forget..

2013, February.

That was the day ARRO had a major change. When their small company became known by many. When people realized someone was out there to help them when they needed it.

Caden was in Anderson's office talking to him about his last mission. It was nothing to crazy, back then Caden did not have extremely hard missions. People were just starting to get use to calling ARRO when they needed help.

"Anderson!" Daniella had walked into his office without knocking. She looked afraid.

Anderson and Caden both looked over at her and stopped their conversation instantly.

"Is everything alright?" Anderson asked concerned.

"I just received an unsettling phone call. You should hear it." Daniella explained.

Caden stepped aside and let her walk up to the desk. All of ARRO's phone calls are recorded in case of any details that were missed. She had the recording on her phone. Daniella looked back and forth between Caden and Anderson to make sure they were quiet and listening. When she realized they were she pressed play.

It was hard to make out what was said or by who. A lot of static interfered with the call. Even with what words they could make out none of them were full sentences and the random words together did not make sense.

"Taken.. Snow.. Someone help.." That was the only words that could be made out from a minute long message.

"Someone calling for help." Caden was first to speak.

"I figured but I don't know what to do sir." Daniella told them.

"Can't you tell where the call came from?" Anderson questioned.
