Chapter 5

As Caden walked through ARRO's front doors he was greeted by Daniella.

"Morning." Caden greeted back as always.

Caden was actually a few minutes early for once. He surprisingly didn't have trouble finding his keys this morning. There was those few rare days like today he was actually able to find them. He was on his way to his office. He noticed Anderson was somewhere back away from all the noise. He was on his cell phone talking to someone. He waved at him and Anderson waved back.

Caden unlocked his office door and decided he would just leave his door open today. He sat down and turned his computer on. It requested his password and he quickly typed it in.

[Welcome]

Appeared on the screen while it loaded. His wallpaper was his agency's name and then the logo on his badge. Caden clicked on his Email to see he had seven unread messages. Caden sighed. He knew he should check his Email more often but he didn't. He pulled up a blank page for writing. He knew he needed to type a report out but Caden has never liked paperwork.

"Ugh."

Caden changed his mind and exited out of what he was on. He knew he would just have more paperwork later but he was not going to spend his sunday typing reports. It was pretty quiet throughout the day. Caden figured he wouldn't get any missions today and that was fine. There just wasn't much to do in his office. Victoria had came in and sat down. This was the first time he's seen her all day and it was around mid afternoon by now.

"Hi." Caden greeted her.

"Hello." She greeted back.

"Quiet day huh?" Caden commented.

Victoria nodded in agreement.

"My thoughts exactly. I actually came to see if you went on any missions without me." She joked.

"Nope been here all day. We won't have missions everyday."

"Yeah I know."

As they were just talking about having no missions Caden's phone rang.

"I think we ruined it." Caden joked.

Victoria laughed.

"Maybe we spoke to soon." She added.

Caden pressed the speaker button on the phone.

"Agent Rogers." Caden said.

"It's Ms. Garnet." Anderson told him.

Victoria could hear the fondness Anderson said that with. She also noticed the smile Caden suddenly had.

"Got it." Caden said.

Caden pressed end call and Victoria just stared at him confused.

"We just got ourself a mission." He informed her.

There was way to much joy and friendliness in his tone when he said that. Something was up.

"You make it sound like that's a good thing." Victoria pointed out, wanting him to correct her.

Caden simply shrugged. She just became even more confused. He stood up and headed toward the door.

"Coming?" He asked.

She was completely lost and confused about what was going on.

"Mr. Rivers didn't even give you a place. No text either." Victoria told him.
