Start from the beginning

But he also seemed to be keeping away from anything to do with Cole.

Then came the ride on the Ferry.

We all boarded with our luggage and sat on the top deck.

The boat beeped its horn, signalling that we were off.

The sky was the brightest blue colour I had seen in a while. The air was now warm and fresh as it pushed our hair back and forth and into our faces. The sea was also a beautiful blue colour. I got a glimpse of the water and saw a mass number of fishes swimming beneath.

‘Isn’t it beautiful?’ I asked Meghann and Kiren.

‘Definitely.’ they agreed as we all inhaled the sweet scent of nature at its finest.

I was so focused on my senses and feelings that I had missed what was truly going on in front of me.

Cole was coming around handing out our timetable for the trip.

He stopped in front of us and hesitantly handed three sheets of paper.

‘Here you go. Timetables. We’ll talk about them once we arrive at the hotel.’ Cole said as he smiled and walked away.

‘Awkward…’ Kiren said.

‘I thought you two sorted it out?’ Meghann asked.

‘…well, we did. And I don’t think it’s awkward, I just think we’re on different terms now and it’s going to take some time to get used to.’ I said truthfully.

‘Different terms…meaning keeping it G-Rated?’ Kiren winked.

I blushed and looked away.

‘You don’t know the half of it.’ I whispered jokingly.

‘Nor do I want to know.’

‘Anywho.’ Meghann tried to change the subject before we began speaking of our excitement.

‘Hey, hold on.’ I said as I turned to face Kiren.

He gave me an amused but curious look. ‘Yeah…’

‘What ever happened with you and Leon?’

Last time I checked, Leon was Kiren’s boyfriend. And since I hadn’t talked to Kiren for so long, I was left oblivious to they’re situation.

Kiren’s smile dropped. ‘I, um, I stopped answering his phone calls and I kind of started ignoring him. Then I think he got the message as he stopped trying.’

‘I’m sure you have your reasons but have you ever considered trying to get him back?’ I asked.

‘Of course I’ve considered it! But he would never take me back…after everything.’ He pouted.

‘Oh, don’t pout.’ I said.

‘True love can concur all.’ Meghann said to Kiren but I suspected she also meant me.

‘Oh, how cliché.’ I said.

And so we went on like this until the Ferry came to a sudden stop and everyone jumped out of their seats in excitement.

‘Sit down, come on, sit down. Wait until the Ferry is at a full stop.’ Ms Fletcher said loudly, trying to make her voice heard over the top of everyone’s excitement.

We all obeyed, but barely.

We were at the edge of our seats until the three teachers stood up and motioned us off.

As we all walked off of the boat, I looked up.

The beach looked to be a minute walk.

Once everyone was off, we all gathered around together in what looked to be a park.
