Chapter 42

Sam's POV 

''Cam. I'm sick..'' I silently said. 

Looking into his eyes, I noticed his confusion. He didn't understand what I meant. ''Don't worry about that, I'll take you to the doctor. You'll be better. I promise.'' he made it sound like a joke, but questioned after I didn't respond. ''Sam? Is this why you haven't been out for a while? You've got fever? Or how bad is it?..'' He put his hand on my forehead. 

''No Cam, it's not what you think.'' I said, as his eyes widened.

 ''Don't tell me you've got some virus..'' 

I couldn't stand his guesses anymore, I couldn't make myself think about other things than telling him the truth.. I didn't know what to do but tell him. ''No, I'm sick Cam..'' I broke. ''I have leukemia.'' I looked at him. 

He didn't say a word.. Maybe he didn't understand the definition of leukemia? 

''Leukemia is a form of ca-'' He cut me off by saying, ''Sam.. I know what leukemia is.... You can't be serious...haha...what kind of joke is this?'' He looked at me with a serious face. 

''Cam, it's not...'' The words couldn't get out of my mouth as I cried. 

''You- you can't be serious. You..'' He didn't know what to say. ''You are serious..'' He finally spat out. ''But it's not possible? Samantha, you're not even 20? How can you already-'' I cut him off and told him everything. He was speechless all the way till the end. 

''I can't believe it. It can be cured, Sam. Don't worry I'll find the best doctor-'' 

''No Cam, it can't be cured. It doesn't even matter anymore.'' 

''Doesn't even matter? Are you kidding me, Sam! You matter! More than you think, and you should.. Wait a minute'' He stopped, looking at me with a confused face. 

''I've got one question for you... How come Melody can't have kids? How come she's known as Jaden's mother, and not you?'' .. ...
