Chapter 10

Samantha's Pov

"Sam! Wait!" I heard Cameron's voice.

I walked faster. I didn't even know where the bathroom was, I just wanted to get out of here. I went out to the park. Trying to get rid of him, but it was empty.

"Sam!" I felt a hand grabbing my arm.
My heart beated at its fastest. "So you're the girl my mom has been talking about? The beautiful girlfriend that Shawn always talks about.." His voice lowered. But I ignored him, facing the other way.

"You never told me your mom passed away" he said in a sad voice. "Are you okay? I mean how do you feel now? Tell me how you've been?" He continued. "Talk to me, Sam! I was worried about you." He shook my arm.

I didn't want to talk about anything. Really.. It's been 3 years and he tells me that he was worried about me? And what is there to talk about? about how my mom passed away and.. Nothing else..

"What do you want.." I said.

I was deep serious with him

I turned around, hit his hand off my arm and asked him again.

"Tell me Cam, what do you want with me now? You all of a sudden wanna talk to me? You tell me you were worried? So why didn't you just pick up your phone and consider calling me? You're the one who moved on, literally moved to another country, not answering my calls. You even changed your number. And when my mom passed away, I had my sister. And you wanna know what the weirdest part was?, she wasn't the one I needed the most when my whole world broke down. The one I really needed died the same day he got into that car and he's not you... And now.. I don't even know how .. How it could be possible that you and Shawn are related. I mean.. There are 7 billion people in this world and they chose you to be his cousin? Though.. How would I even know? There's nothing comparable between the two of you" I didn't want to speak more than that.

He was still silent, I could see he was shocked at how mad I really was. He was speechless.

"From now on, just pretend nothing ever happened between us. You're just a guy whom I barely knew that turned out to be my boyfriends cousin. And apparently-.."

"Muuffffff there you are! I was looking for you" Shawn cut me off. " do you two know each other?" He looked at cam and smiled at me.

Cam didn't say a word.. I looked at him as he licked his lip looking away.

"Actually.. We knew each other before but not that much. He was just a kid next door. And apparently our family knew each other but we never really got the chance to introduce ourselves properly" I smiled and looked at Cam.

"My name is Samantha Hilliard, you can just call me Sam" I shook his hand. "I'm Shawn's girlfriend" I gave Cam the look and he knew what I meant.

"Call me Cam" he responded and gave me a straight face. "Will you excuse me.." He silently said and slowly walked away.

"Damn he looks unhappy" Shawn whispered.

"Yeah" I sighed.
