I've had my heart broken apart over
And over
And over again
But it never stops hurting.
They say I'd reach some sort of numb state where heartbreak didn't hurt anymore because you didn't care.
They were wrong.
It never stops hurting.
Listening to every word said, yelled, screeched, cutting into the air like nothing matters anymore.
It only gets worse when the fighting stops and the guns are put down.
The silence following is thick and filled with jarring sobs.
I don't understand why or if they even care anymore, maybe they just fight because our lives are too boring?
It's insane, that's what it is. They don't care at all.
They think the only people being hurt are the ones in the war. What about everyone they left behind to fight?
