How It All Started

Walking through the woods is my norm.  That's pretty much all you can do here. Something happened to my civilization a while ago where things started changing. There is no more school. All of my peers and most of the parents in this town stay in one vicinity. We call it "The Oak". It's a couple of apartments then one house at the end. That's where all of my friends and I meet up... Since we don't have school or the mall or anything like that.  I come to the middle of the woods. Away from everyone sometimes. It helps me think about a lot of stuff. Just about my life and why we are living in this condition. A lot of people are also afraid to come out here at night. But, it's a huge benefit for me. I like laying back on a pile of leaves and looking up at the stars as the wind blows. It just helps me clear my mind about a lot of things. I should head back to the Oak... My parents are probably worried. By the way, I'm Jay, and this is my life in the Oak.
