‘After all, you don’t want the cops pulling us over and realizing what the situation between us is… that has awkward written all over it.’

He laughed at my response as he sighed and started the car.

‘So… where are we going?’ I asked after 10 minutes of silent driving.

‘You’ll see.’ He simply answered.

‘You’re mean.’ I pouted.

‘You know you love me.’

‘Doesn’t mean you’re not mean.’

‘Stop frowning, I don’t want wrinkles on your pretty face.’ Cole said as his eyes were glued to the road, only occasionally falling on me.

‘Keep your eyes to the road; I don’t want to have another near death experience.’ I said, trying to hide my laugh.

He looked over at me with an unreadable expression ‘I would never be able to forgive myself…’

‘Yeah, I would most likely forgive you before you forgave yourself. But moving on…’ I trailed, trying to change his mood.

‘OK, we’re here.’ He announced as he stopped the car.

We got out of the car as I looked around in wonder. ‘What is this place?’

‘A little Coffee hut off to the side.’ He said as he guided me into the little shop. It looked like a normal Coffee hut but it was more secluded and it looked friendlier then they usually did.

He led us to a nice looking table as we took our seats.

After about a minute or so, a waitress came up to us ‘What would you like?’ she said as she gave the flirtiest smile to Cole.

‘The usual thanks Jen.’ Cole said sweetly.

“Jen” scribbled down “the usual” before turning to me ‘I’ll have a… hot chocolate, thanks.’

She nodded before leaving the two of us alone once again.

‘Who was that?’ I asked.

‘Jealous are we now?’ Cole asked with a grin.

‘N-no, I was just wondering who she was.’ I lied through my teeth.

‘Whatever you say Avery… but I don’t really know her personally but more because I guess I come here a lot. Had enough interrogating me now?’

‘Well she sure as hell likes you…’ I said, trying to sound nonchalant.

He chuckled whilst shaking his head.

‘Here…you…go.’ Jen said as she placed the orders in front of us, giving Cole “the look”.

I shuffled a little closer to Cole in hope of pushing Jen away.

‘Anything else?’ Jen asked.

‘Yeah… a strawberry cupcake for my girlfriend, thanks.’ Cole said.

Jen studied me before walking away. As soon as she was out of hearing range we burst up in laughter.

‘See, you’re the only one for me.’ Cole said as he kissed my cheek. I heavily blushed before the both of us turned to our drinks.

I quietly sipped my delicious hot chocolate whilst Cole slurped his Cappuccino.

My cupcake was delivered to me a minute or so later as I looked at it in admiration.

‘D-do you want a bite?’ I asked Cole.

‘No, it’s all yours.’ Cole winked at me before fiddling with his cup.
