I walked up to my child hood home and stood at the porch a minute. The December air brushing across my face, I knocked on the door and my mom appeared.
"Honey!" She embraced me in a warm hug, I gave her a fake smile. I missed her a lot, I did, I just need to be here a while.
"So, I was looking at apartments down here for you, and there's a few open that we can go look at tomorrow if you'd like, it's next to a few places you can work too, work as a hostess at the fancy restaurant or something." She smiled. I nodded and hugged her.
"Thanks mom your a big help, but I think I'm gonna go get some sleep, I'll see you in the morning." I walked up the stairs to my old bedroom and lauded down not bothering to change. I cried into my pillow wondering if I made the right decision. It wouldn't matter, I already made it. And that's how it's gonna be. For a while.
