"Aetas: carpe diem quam minimum credula postero."
- Horace, Odes Book 1, Poem 11, Line 8

As I arrived there, no one was there which baffled me for a moment since I remembered that it's around this vicinity where the confrontation would happen so I approached the place and hid myself behind the bushes.

From my point of view, the confrontation would happen to the right side of my eyesight so I got a good vantage point to approach them from the shadows.

A few moments after my arrival I spotted a figure from the shadow side of the building. Judging from his physique and posture alone, I can deduce that this someone is Horikita Manabu, the current Student Council President.

I'm getting excited to see this confrontation head-on, but I have to get ready for my prepared appearance as well. This will technically be the first time that I will meet these two in this life.

"Niisan, you called me here?" the younger Horikita asked.

"Suzune, I didn't think you'd follow me this far," he replied.

"Hmph. I'm far different from the useless girl you once knew, Niisan. I came here to catch you." Suzune replied as I shuddered inwardly due to the cringe-worthy scene that I'm seeing right now.

"Catch me, hmm?" He asked as he added. "I heard you were placed in Class D. I suppose nothing has really changed in the last three years. You've always been fixated on following me, and as a result you don't know your own flaws. Choosing to come to this school was a mistake."

Manabu is certainly right. While it is commendable for this person to put all of their efforts to catch up on someone they idolized as a goal, being excessively fixated on this goal and ignoring other areas of self-improvement for the sake of this goal is detrimental to the overall success that this person would have once they entered the society.

In turn, this person's incompleteness would result in their own suffering. Manabu's way of dealing things, while quite harsh and he probably struggled to communicate this notion to her, this is certainly a good method for Suzune to open her eyes for self-improvement.

"That's- You're wrong about that. I'll show you. I'll reach Class A right away, then-" before saying any further, Manabu replied sternly.

"It's pointless. You will never reach Class A. In fact, your class will fall apart soon enough. Things at this school aren't as simple as you think."

This affected Suzune quite well as she already bore witness to this first-hand since Class D had 0 class points from the beginning.

"I will definitely, definitely reach-" she stammered.

"I told you, it's pointless. You really are a disobedient little sister."

His tone alone bore no emotion as he grabbed her from her wrist using his left arm while Suzune made no resistance to this.

Manabu then pushed her to a wall as he said this to her.

"No matter how I try to avoid you, the fact remains that you're my little sister. If people around here learned the truth, I would be humiliated. Leave this school immediately." he ordered.

"I-I can't do that! I will definitely reach Class A. I'll show you!" Suzune said as she struggled on opposing his older brother's words.

"How incredibly stupid. Do you want to relive the pain of the past?" Manabu replied as this statement caught my interest for a little bit.

"Niisan, I..." before she said any further, Manabu furrowed his eyebrows and said.

"You possess neither the abilities nor the qualities needed to reach Class A. Get that through your head."
