-PRESENT, NEXT DAY-

Donnie informed the others when they woke up that Splinter was gonna be okay. Mikey and Yin sobbed with relief, the others looked like they were about to faint. To celebrate victory-they all cooked dinner together. Cheerful, uplifting chatter. Plus-music!

They all watched TV while they ate their food, conversing about cool moments during the fight. Yin finished her meal first so she flew into the shower. She watched as dirt swept the water off of her body. Her hair is growing back a little bit-so after she gets out and changes into a baggy shirt and sweats, she trims her hair again.

"Hey, y'all!" Yin plopped down between Mikey and Donnie. "Sorry I took awhile. I trimmed my hair again."

Mikey sniffed the air. "Ooooh, your hair smells so good!"

Yin laughed. "Mint and rosemary."

"I'ma go check on Splinter", Donnie said, getting up and walking to the lab.

"I'm glad Splinter is alright", Leo sighed, staring up at the ceiling for a brief moment. "I couldn't bare the pain of losing him again."

"Heyyy, dudes!" Rang Casey's voice, and they all turned to see Casey walking in. "Been awhile!"

"Casey!", they all exclaimed in excitement.

"Hey!" Yin dashed over and gave him a quick hug. "How've you been? Everything alright?"

"Yeah", he said wistfully. "I've chosen to stay behind and take care of my dad and watch my little sister."

"That's good." Raph dapped him up. "Good to see you."

"Hey, Casey." Donnie came back. "Splinter is on the mend."

"Phew!" Mikey and Yin said in unison.

"Yeah, I heard and saw you guys on the news", Casey said in a gloomy tone. "I'm really sorry I wasn't here to help you guys out-."

"Don't worry about it" Yin said, shaking her head. "It's alright."

"Wanna stay for awhile?" Leo offered. "We can chill and do some training together."

"Sweet!" Casey grinned. "It's been forever since I've been here."

They all gathered around the TV and watched whatever they found interesting at the time. After that, they had pizza delivered and ate. Everyone kind of did their own thing, Yin slipped away unnoticed and went inside the lab and saw Splinter there, sleeping soundly.

She pulled up a chair and rested her head in her hand, watching him with wary hope. Yin felt sick to her stomach that he had nearly died-again. Time dragged on and on, and she must've fallen asleep because she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Hey, Yin." It was Donnie, his soft voice making her open her eyes. "It's 2:30am, you should get in bed."

"Oh..." She sounded almost embarrassed. "I must've slept then..." Yawning and standing up, she looks back on Splinter. "He'll pull through-right?"

"Don't worry, I'll watch over him, just get some rest", he smiled softly.

Yin returned the smile. "Okay."

She walked away and made it to her room and got under the nice covers. I sure hope he's alright... Then she closed her eyes. But...she had a nightmare. Ah, who knew? It was of Splinter dying, the scene playing before her over and over, becoming more gruesome than the last.

She woke up, sitting up instantly. Yin felt sweaty and she felt bile gathering in her mouth. So she flew to her bathroom. Yin barely made it just in time before she threw up. Groaning she leans back against the bathtub.
