-PRESENT, THE NEXT DAY, AT THE LAIR-

Donnie, Raph, and Mikey ran into the lair as soon as they made it back home and screamed for Splinter.

"Sensei!!", they all yelled out, Mikey the loudest.

"Sons, are you alright?" Splinter ran out, then his voice hardened. "Where is Leonardo and Yin?"

"The Kraang have taken them", Donnie mumbled in defeat. "I'm pretty sure they're either taking them to TCRI or Shredder's place."

"Most likely TCRI because that's basically where she grew up", Splinter sighed with worry. "Go. Waste no time in getting ready. I am going with also."

"What!?" Raph burst. "No way in hell! You're still recovering!"

"No pain will be enough to stop me from rescuing my son and our dear human friend", Splinter said with determination. "Let us go, we haven't the time to lose!!"

-AT TCRI, IN A HOLDING TANK, THE HUGE PORTAL ROOM-

Leo and Yin were tossed in a holding tank together. What would become of us now?, Leo had wondered to himself. Yin had slipped back into unconsciousness as the van came to a park. Leo was fuming mad. He has her head propped in her lap, an arm over her. Leo hopes that she wakes up soon.

"I'm sorry, I'm...so, so, sorry..." Leo sniffed, mumbling.

Then his phone started ringing, and it made him jump. He hid his phone really well, so he got it out and acted like he wasn't doing anything. Then he answered the call.

"Hello? Raph?"

"Where the hell are you, guys!" Raph shouted into the phone.

"We're in TCRI", Leo whispered. "We're in the portal room. Yin...she is unconscious right now..."

"We're coming as soon as we can, dude!" Mikey chimed in. "Sensei is with us!"

"Splinter?", Leo gasped. "Seriously?"

"Yes, my son. We will do all that we can to save you and young Yin."

"But you're still-."

"If Raphael can't convince me-then you won't be able to either."

"Okay..." Leo sighed, "be safe, you guys. We'll hold our own."

The phone hung up. Leo leaned his back and sighed. Then he felt Yin stir and she blinked her eyes up at him.

"Leo...?" Yin's voice sounded small. "We're...we're in TCRI. Aren't we...?"

"Yes", Leo sighed, looking down at her with a sad expression. "I should've been able to stop them from taking us."

Yin winced as she turned on her side, still facing her friend. "Some things are out of our control, Leo. Believe me-I wish things were easier too..."

Leo got emotional, his voice breaking. "But there must've been something that I could've done..."

"Trust me-if there was-you would have done that, already", Yin chuckled weakly. "How will the guys know where we are?"

"I hid my T-Phone and Raph called me, so I told him where we're at", he replied, looking around. "Yin. I know that this isn't the best time...but-."

Leo couldn't finish his sentence because he and Yin saw the glass dome top being lifted off. Their gazes hardened when they see Kraang Sub-Prime.

"Well, well, well", he bellowed, his face contorting into an evil grin. "Look what we have here: the legendary leader and the legendary runaway. Kraang will have a lot of fun with you two!"
