The End of Counter-Earth

Adam: Mother.

Gamora and Zoe went up to the cockpit to see Adam's pet. They expected him to attack but instead, it peed on the floor.

Zoe: Eww. That was--

Another explosion knocked the ship off, causing Zoe and Gamora to be knocked backwards along with the creature.

Adam flew to save his mother. All through the exploding planet. She watched from the ship.

Adam: Mother!

He was too late.

She died. Caught in the explosion. He got knocked backwards as well.

Nebula still watched the ship rise.

Nebula: Mantis and Drax, come in. Mantis? Drax?

Drax: (on comms) Um, hey.

Nebula: I need you to bring the ship here now!

Drax: Well, we can't do that exactly because.... we're not at the ship.

Nebula: Then where the heck are...

Then she saw all three, standing. Drax, Mantis, and Mikey. Mikey and Mantis both pointed at Drax.

Mikey: His fault. Uncle Drax, you are a stupid idiot.

Nebula: You brought Mikey?! Where's your mother?!

Mikey: She's back at the ship.

Meanwhile, Gamora and Zoe got up. In pain. They saw Adam. Reaching out his hand. Gamora got out her knife, ready to fight. But Adam collapsed.

They all looked around at the destruction.

Mikey: What do we do?

Nebula: We hop on the ship and get up there.

She ran towards it. They all followed.

Gamora and Zoe turned on the comms.

Gamora: Nebula, come in.

Nebula: Gamora! Take off now! Get yourself, Zoe and Rocket off the planet.

Zoe: Nebula. Is Mikey there?

Nebula: Yeah. He's okay.

Mikey: Hi, Mommy.

Zoe: Mikey, listen. Stay with Aunt Nebula if she's found a way to get off the planet. Come back when you can.

Gamora got annoyed and saw the controls.

Gamora: What kinda ship is this?

Zoe: You can't fly?

Gamora: You can't?

Zoe: No.

Another explosion.

Back with us.

Theel: It's amusing, really. How stupid are you guys? It was so obviously a trap.

Peter: It's not a trap. It's a face-off. Now kill them all.

Groot opened his chest up to let a ball roll out. He pushed a button and it started beeping.

Theel: What do you have in your hand?

Blake: You act like you ever seen a grenade before?

Groot threw it.

"Grenade!"

And it exploded. The debris trapped the other scientist and the High Evolutionary.

Through the smoke, Groot grew extra arms with guns on them. He handed some extras to us.

Blake: Let's burn.

And we shot people around us.

As a team with Groot's extra arms, we clearly had the upper advantage.

Groot grew a shield to protect us.

"I am Groot!"

Blake: Get some!

Meanwhile

Zoe: Just hurry before we're dead.

Gamora flipped a switch and music turned on.

Meanwhile, Nebula, Drax and Mantis, with Mikey on Drax's shoulder, ran towards the ship to get on.

Mikey: We're not gonna make it!

Nebula: We'll make it!

They all jumped on the ship, Mantis nearly fell off but Nebula grabbed ahold.

Groot threw the guns. Theel lay there.

Blake: It's over. Hand over the passkey before we rip it out of your head.

Peter cocked a gun and pointed it.

Theel: Don't! No, no, no! No, please! Please, spare me! Please, spare me, please.

Blake: Then give us the passkey!

Peter lowered the gun.

Blake: What are you doing?

Theel: Thank you. Thank you. Thank....

Peter: That'd be premature.

Theel: Huh?

Peter ran towards him.

Theel: No, no, no...

Peter pushed him out as they jumped out together.

Blake: Peter! No! What are you doing?!

The rubble moved and the High Evolutionary escaped.

"I am Groot?: Do you trust me?"

Blake: Yeah, why?

"I am Groot: Then get on."

I got on Groot's back as he ran to jump off.

Blake: No, no wait.

Groot jumped and I screamed until something grabbed ahold of me.

Groot fell down and the High Evolutionary trapped me with his powers.

High Evolutionary: Quite a novel escape plan, jumping headfirst into an exploding planet. What a pity. Your friends abandoned you.

He pulled me up.

Blake: No, they wouldn't. They'll come back.

High Evolutionary: I'll count it if they will bring me 89P13. Maybe your family as well.

Blake: No.

High Evolutionary: Shackle him and put him with the others.
